Competition supervisor calls out Government for unfair business competition policy in SOE procurement
Soemadipradja & Taher is pleased to share our latest client update with you.
The Indonesia Competition Commission (Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha, KPPU) recently raised concerns about procurement policies in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), warning that current practices could foster business unfair competition. By spotlighting these issues, KPPU aims to create a more competitive procurement landscape and prevent monopolistic behaviour. Will this push for fairness reshape the system? Only time will tell.
Partner Verry Iskandar, Senior Associate Valeri Soekarno, and Foreign Counsel Robert Reid, provide an in-depth update on KPPU's efforts to eliminate practices that violate competition regulations.
