As we see the raising tide of indie developers in response to the massive changes happening throughout the industry, we also need to recognize that we can't keep doing things they way we have been. Developer Holiday? A contradiction in terms! Merry Hackathon, from David Kent, CEO of Play4Me. We noticed that adding too many studio effects weighed down the browser, so I imposed a limit rather than have our users try and figure out what might be messing up the sound. On the other hand, I don't want our esteemed composers and track producers limited in any way toward the pursuit of a master hit, so I envisioned a new feature. This one rivals what DAW's do because you can use it in infinite combinations to refine your final mix. It's called "Send" and it's an effect of its own. You drop it into a channel and twiddle the knob to point to any other channel. All the audio up to that point in the effects chain is then routed to the channel you specified. And you can keep going with that idea. If multiple channels want to "Send" to the same one, and it has Reverb and a bunch of other resource-intensive effects inserted into it, now all the sources combine and you can set the level of the group independently, like a pre-mix into the master. It's a cool way to get around limits and provide all the ear candy your mix would ever need.

Cat Kombat is coming. It’s now at 2nd stage testing with a core group of community members. We’re ironing out details regarding game mechanics, invitations, and prize pools. Likely release later this week. How does Cat Kombat relate to Smart Layer Network? - It uses the ecosystem tools we built: The game is a proof-of-concept for the things developers & projects can do with their tokens. - ERC-5169 enables communication between 2 tokens, and outcomes to be settled on-chain via Smart Layer. - TokenScript allows holders to interact with ( and play directly from) the token interface. - Play statistics and Prize Pool positions associated with the Smart Cat token: Win accrued can have value, be used in other utility and be tradable. - And as for $SLN, it becomes one of many utilities we build to drive demand.
