We are on course to redefine business mobility for organisations in Nigeria and beyond. You should ask me how... 🚛🛵🚗 🔸I've also been working on the MacTay referral programme. We want to make it possible for individuals (and even organisations) to earn commissions by referring clients to us... Wouldn't you rather get paid for the information you have? 😌 More on this later... 🔸And then, there's MacJobs, Nigeria's first end-to-end recruitment solution. MacJobs makes it easy for organisations to automate their hiring process, from candidate sourcing and assessment to generating offer letters and conducting online onboarding and documentation... Easy peazy, right? That's MacJobs for you! 😊 P.S. Say "Hi" in the comments section let's exchange pleasantries or throw bants... Do have a lovely Thursday ahead! MacTay | #Marketingcommunications

Industry-Specific Hiring Challenges in Nigeria: What You Need to Know Hiring in Nigeria isn’t a one-size-fits-all process. As we close out 2024, here is my high level synopsis of state of recruitment in South Africa. The recruitment landscape in South Africa is populated by a dynamic mix of challenges and opportunities. Despite ongoing economic uncertainties, there is a notable increase in demand for skilled professionals across several sectors; particularly in finance, healthcare, and renewable energy. However, the job market is grappling with increasing skills shortages, making it difficult for employers to find qualified candidates, especially in the broader technical space. Overall, the recruitment environment remains quietly optimistic as businesses adapt to the complexities of the current economic climate and other socio-economic challenges. With this in mind, a sharp rise in employment opportunities is forecast for Q2 of 2025; post the much anticipated parliamentary budget speech in February 2025.

In 2020,I had a perception about a certain company based on the information in the press, and the general perception of "whom you know, and who knows you" prevalence in recruitment issues in Ghana. So I saw an advert of this prominent company for a Group Finance Manager, and I applied, I was shortlisted, took the aptitude test and I passed to the interview level, then to the second interview without knowing anyone,So I was invited for the final level of the interviews, and I gave an excuse not to turn up,because I just wanted to satisfy my curiosity about that perception. 4yrs down the line they called me to ask if I am available, and I am shocked I thought this happens only in the advanced countries,to keep CVs for that long.Unfortunately I am still not available. Indeed there are Professional HRs in Ghana, and if Local entrepreneurs will give professionals a chance in pursue of their dream companies rather than family and friends employees in exchange for skills and professionalism,we can build generational cross-border companies. In sum,try your luck and apply for vacancies you come across regardless of the perception out there,There's still exceptions.

A Job Seeker in Nigeria? Companies are increasingly considering location as part of the hiring process! Here’s why: the cost of commuting, including transport expenses and the health implications of long traffic jams, work life balance, relocation costs and potential tardiness and absenteeism. If the job emphasizes location, make sure to add your location (eg Ikeja Lagos) to your CV. One of the reasons you might not be getting an interview invitation is that your CV doesn’t include your location and the ATS didn’t catch it. Read the Job Description Before Applying! It helps you tailor your CV to match the specific requirements. There’s no one-size-fits-all CV. Understand this and solve your no-invite problems. #JobSeeking #CareerTips #NigeriaJobs #CVTips #HiringProcess #JobApplications #jobs #hiring #hr
