#ProductDiscovery #CustomerFirst 🚀 Features are temporary fixes, find lasting cures. Uncover the root cause of customer pain points and develop solutions that address those needs for long-term success. 💡Innovation lives with your users, not in a meeting room. Go beyond internal brainstorming. Talk to real users, understand their challenges, and leverage their feedback for continuous product improvement. #UserFeedback #Innovate 🤔 Guesses and assumptions lead to trouble, validate your ideas early and often. Don't waste time building things nobody wants - test your concepts with real users to make sure they're on the right track. #LeanStartup #ValidateIdeas 🌟 The product triangle: Desirable, Viable, Feasible. Great products balance what users want (desirable) with what you can build (viable) and what makes financial sense (feasible). Aim for that perfect balance for a winning product. #ProductSweetSpot #ProductManagement 📈 Data tells a story, make sure you’re listening. Becoming a serious product thinker requires developing a heightened sensitivity to the nuances of user interactions and market dynamics. Here’s how you can sharpen your product sense: 👇 1️⃣ See the Unseen, Hear the Unheard, and Feel the Unfelt -- Approach every interaction from your user’s perspective. Understand their pain points, needs, and desires deeply. Empathy is key—immerse yourself in their world to grasp the unspoken challenges they face. 2️⃣ Spend Quality Time with Your Customers -- Directly engage with your customers. Join calls, listen actively to what they say, and review call recordings. These insights are invaluable in shaping your product’s direction. 3️⃣ Analyze the Competitive Landscape -- Study your competitors rigorously. Understand what they’ve built, what they’re building, and where they fall short. This analysis will help you identify gaps and opportunities to differentiate your product. 4️⃣ Immerse Yourself in Product Data -- Dive into the data to see how users interact with your product. Usage patterns, pain points, and successes hidden in the data can provide critical insights that guide product decisions. 5️⃣ Put It All Together -- Take these insights from customer interactions, competitive analysis, and data deep dives, and integrate them into your product thinking. This comprehensive understanding will enhance your ability to predict future user behavior and make informed product decisions. Developing strong product sense is about continuously refining your understanding of the user, the market, and your product. This deep connection allows you to anticipate needs and drive meaningful innovation. #ProductManagement #ProductDevelopment

Turning customer insights into action is challenging... Malte Scholz, Co-Founder, CEO & CPO at Airfocus, shared a valuable piece of advice: centralize customer feedback from various sources and use it to drive product decisions. But how can you effectively turn these insights into actionable steps? 🤔 1️⃣ Establish a Single Source of Truth 📂 Create a centralized repository for customer feedback from all channels, such as support tickets, user reviews, and sales conversations. This ensures that no valuable insights slip through the cracks. There are some great tools for this. Not necessarily those that rhyme with Ba-wa. 😉 2️⃣ Analyze and Identify Patterns 🔍 Regularly review the collected feedback to identify common themes, pain points, and feature requests. Use this information to prioritize your product backlog and roadmap. This can be a great use for AI btw. It can be great at finding themes we might miss. It's worth trying. 3️⃣ Validate with Quantitative Data 📊 Combine qualitative feedback with quantitative data, such as user behavior analytics and usage metrics, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your customers' needs and preferences. Your Product Analytics tools can help you here are well. You are using them and not just GA4 right? My favourite has been Amplitude for years now. 4️⃣ Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams 🤝 Involve representatives from customer success, sales, and marketing in the insight analysis process. Their unique perspectives can help uncover hidden opportunities and ensure alignment across the organization. This is where a lot of Product people who come from engineering get stuck. They tend to stay in that lane. But the sooner you get to be close with CS, Sales and Marketing the faster the rate of improvement becomes... 5️⃣ Continuously Iterate and Refine 🔄 Insight-driven product development is an ongoing process. Regularly reassess your priorities based on new insights and feedback to ensure you're always delivering maximum value to your customers. Of course you've got a preferred Prioritisation framework and are getting your senior stakeholders to stick to it? That's super hard but so important. By following these steps, you can transform customer insights into a powerful tool for driving product success. 💪 If you're looking for more in-depth guidance on implementing insight-driven product development, I invite you to check out our latest Podcast post, where we share real-world examples and proven strategies. 📝 #ProductManagement #CustomerInsights #ProductDevelopment

I recently attended a workshop on product metrics led by Oksana Nosenko. During the session, we delved into the process of selecting appropriate metrics and the underlying rationale behind them. Aside from delving into the technical aspects, I'm eager to share some enlightening correlations between metrics and business: - Metrics serve as the yardsticks by which we measure and analyze a company's or product's performance. They can be employed for ideation or monitoring purposes. - It's imperative that metrics are in harmony with the company's overarching strategy, aiding in the achievement of its objectives. - When defining metrics, it's essential to first elucidate the business's needs and plans, and subsequently select an appropriate framework and metrics. - Associate metrics with various stages of the customer journey, ensuring they contribute to the attainment of the primary goal. For instance, while filter usage may impact user conversion, it may not represent a pivotal step, thus it's not advisable to utilize it as a metric. #product_metrics

Let's talk about the famous "AARRR" framework, used to define success metric for any product, by Dave McClure! Breaking it down: - 𝑨𝒄𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: How the user discovers your product? - 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: The user's first visit to your product and their first happy experience. - 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: Does the user like your product enough to return? (And hopefully again and again) - 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒍: Do users like your product enough to recommend it to others? - 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒆: Does the user find enough value in your product to pay for it? Breaking down the key behavioral steps for your product into these AARRR buckets helps you understand and optimize the user journey. Each bucket may contain multiple metrics, giving you a detailed view of how users progress from discovering your product to becoming paying customers. #Product101 #AARRR #ProductManagement #Engineering #SuccessMetric #ProductSuccess #FunnelAnalysis #TechTalks #Learning

I analysed over 10,000 pieces of raw user feedback. Here's what I learned (and it's why most product roadmaps fail) 👇 Too often, product roadmaps are built on 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, not data. I discovered that by truly diving into customer feedback, you uncover the REAL problems to solve. This understanding is critical for creating products that actually resonate with users. One project stands out. By analysing 10k+ pieces of qual user feedback, I helped achieve a 50% conversion increase within 3 months. 🚀 Want to avoid roadmap pitfalls and build products your customers actually love? 🤩 Let's connect! 👋 ____________________________ Helping you succeed with your digital product: e.g. £31m biz benefits delivered, £100k saved, a Techstars spot.
