HURRY!! Registrations Closing TODAY!! Join the #AfPA Technical Webinar-Existing Practices in Use to Eliminate Cutters, the second in a three-part series exploring alternative techniques to using #cutters in sprayed seals. This session will focus on local experiences aimed at reducing or eliminating cutters, such as using low-viscosity crumb rubber bitumen (S15R) and synchronised sprayers. We will also discuss the current challenges in eliminating cutters from sprayed sealing construction. Participants will gain valuable insights into current practices aimed at reducing or eliminating the need for cutters. Leading experts from VSA Roads, Downer, and QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads will discuss the best practices for achieving more sustainable spray seals. Kem-Ex-It Plus by Nox-Crete Ready to use without dilution or mixing, Kem-Ex-It Plus rust remover is an ideal product for getting rid of rust lingering on steel forms, avoiding damage caused by sandblasters and other harsh cleaning methods. Through a chemical reaction, Kem-Ex-It Plus breaks down and softens rust buildup until it is ready for easy removal by a power washer. After removal, steel surfaces are left with a protective barrier that temporarily guards against flash rusting. Kem-Ex-It Plus also removes concrete and mortar buildup on forms, equipment and tools. Additionally, Kem-Ex-It Plus contains a powerful detergent that cuts through form oil residue on steel and aluminum surfaces. Finally, all residue easily washes away with water. When applied using Nox-Crete’s Pump Foamer, Kem-Ex-It Plus produces a thick foam that clings to vertical and overhead surfaces for exceptional effectiveness. Use with Neutralizer to eliminate flash rusting caused by chlorinated water during the rinse cycle.

Dry ice blasting is a fast, efficient, and non-abrasive cleaning process that uses dry ice that sublimates into a gas on impact, allowing the user to clean packaging equipment fast and in place without cleaning up secondary waste. Dry ice cleaning is similar to sand, bead and soda blasting in that it prepares and cleans surfaces using a media accelerated in a pressurized air stream. It differs in that dry ice cleaning uses solid CO2 pellets or MicroParticles, which are blasted at supersonic speeds and sublimate on impact, lifting dirt and contaminants off the underlying substrate. We provide environmental cleaning, surface preparation and parts finishing systems to global manufacturing industries. These systems utilize particles of dry ice as a blasting medium. Secondly, we produce systems for the production, metering and packaging of dry ice. These systems enable the consistent production of a controlled range of dry ice products for food transportation, cold chain management and dry ice cleaning. Customers are using our technology-based solutions to replace outdated processes that are inefficient and harmful to health and safety. Cleaning with Cold Jet Dry Ice Blasting Provides: ✔️No secondary waste ✔️Reduced cleaning time (up to 80%) ✔️Increase in Quality standards ✔️Clean in-place, no cool down, with minimal disassembly ✔️A non-abrasive clean that won’t damage substrates ✔️Non-conductive process ✔️Media entrapment elimination ✔️Increased operator safety ✔️An environmentally responsible clean ❄️𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲? 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱-𝗼𝗻 When Andrew and Stef launched Pilbara Powder Coatings, they tackled a costly issue: dirty, greasy items from sites were contaminating their blasting garnet—wasting resources and affecting quality. By using our SPITWATER SW21200DE Hot Water Diesel Pressure Cleaner, equipped with hose reel, 30m work hose & turbo nozzle, they’ve reduced contamination by 90%, saving $50,000 in six months through garnet reuse. This game-changing solution helps PPC deliver more value to clients and support Karratha’s local industry. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀? Changes that may appear irrelevant: How can a small modification in WWtf affect the plant performance ! Our CDU started experiencing frequent feed starvation issues caused by feed pump suction starainer blockage by plastic covers. Analysis narrowed down the root cause to the breakfast served in plastic covers. After years of prolonged negotiations, breakfast service was started in our plant. The plastic covers with food left overs dumped in the trash bins were pulled out by the crows, flew into the open sea water return canal / Oil Water separator basins. The skimmed oil was routed to WWT for reprocessing as slops. An unauthorized bypass was found installed on the strainer on the skimmed oil piping, located in a remote location in a trench (covered with a lid) in off sites, to address the frequent blockage with plastic covers. This bypass resulted in the entry of plastic covers in to Crude tanks thru slop headers. The CDU feed pump strainers started getting blocked every 3- 4 days resulting in a sudden feed rate reduction by 60 - 70% (shutdown at times) as the tanks levels reached lower. Weird, but it happened and took some time for identifying the root cause / resolving issues (introducing MOC process for all changes process / non process - garbage handling etc.,).

What is a Gooseneck or Pigtail in the water industry? Section of piping that's typically two feet or less that bends to connect the service line to the water main. This section of pipe is often found to be lead. #GetTheLeadOut
