Burlington Fabrics’ Post

Our manufacturing plant in Raeford, NC was honored to host Brigadier General Maddox, Lieutenant Colonel Monroe, and representatives of the United States Department of Defense Logistics Agency last week.   This was an exciting opportunity to discuss one of our current initiatives with the U.S. military—the development and production of fabric for the newest military branch, the United States Space Force.   “It was great to host the General and allow him to see firsthand the complexities and processes involved in making worsted wool fabrics for the U.S. military dress uniforms,” said Michael Lyon, President Technical Fabrics. “There was a good dialogue exchange regarding the overall priorities of the military for the supply of dress uniform fabrics and specifically the launch of the new Space Force uniforms.”   Burlington is proud to supply military fabrics for more than 70 years continuing our partnership to support our armed forces.   Elevate Textiles Leadership Team members also joined the visit including CEO Jeffrey P. Pritchett, CFO Elliott Barker, and Michael Lyon.

Great to see this longstanding partnership is still in place after 70 years. So much value my time at Burlington Industries and the long term colleague friendships made there.
