So… everyone thinks LinkedIn is this “great marketing channel”. But most founders are using it completely wrong. Here’s why you’re wasting your time here: 1️⃣ Posting The Wrong Content Imagine you’re following yourself on LinkedIn. You scroll down your feed and there are 1000+ posts there. 1 person shared a 40-page carousel. 1 has shared an amazing story. Then you’ve shared… a boring sales post that you are claiming is “Good for lead gen.” You got 0 leads. It was a waste of your time. 2️⃣ No One Remembers You Name 3 pieces of content you remember from today’s scroll? My guess is 0… but maybe 1 at best. I’d also guess that 1 person told a story. No one will remember me posting this… But they will remember the stories I’ve told here. It’s stories that stick in the mind. 3️⃣ There Is No Next Step The people actually driving new business through LinkedIn are the ones using it as a top of funnel activity. Get attention → Drive them to next step. If you’re not seeing a clear ROI here it’s because you’re missing that. Eyeballs ain’t worth sh*t. —— Don’t get me wrong, I’ve made all 3 of these mistakes over the years. Now, I avoid them at all costs. If you’re a B2B business, your LinkedIn is priceless - but only if you use it right.

You should not aim to help everyone on LinkedIn. (There are a lot of fish in the sea) People may resonate with your content because: - They liked the image. - Your copy is compelling. - You can solve their challenges. But that does not mean they are the right fit to work with you. Now, picture this…. You share a lead magnet post and it gets massive traction: - 1000s likes. - 400+ comments. - Your inbox is flooded. How do you manage this? You can rush to message EVERYONE interacting with your post. Which will require hours, thousands of clicks. And you’ll chat with many unqualified leads. Or… You can strategize and focus on your Ideal Audience first. How? Following 3 single steps, using technology: 1. 1-click import everyone interacting with it. 2. Auto qualify them based on specific criteria. 3. Send the initial message automatically. This way, you will maximize your efforts: First, you’ll serve your ideal audience: → They will benefit the most from your solution. (and most likely take action faster) Then, you can message everyone else: → Adding value with a nurturing conversation. At the end of the day, everyone gets your lead magnet. With the huge difference that: The action takers will be contacted first. Your opt-in rates will boost significantly. Because, in business, speed is king. "We got banned by LinkedIn," a prospect told me on call. "Our impressions dropped like 10 times." His agency built software tools for B2B SaaS brands. This agency founder posted on LinkedIn 3 times/week. But everything changed. He: - Got his profile banned by LinkedIn for a month - Saw his reach get slapped by the algorithm - Felt discouraged on the platform Here's the painful, uncomfortable truth about LinkedIn. ↳ LinkedIn can ban your profile at any minute. 95% of the time, it won't be your fault. But with this in mind, you have to plan for the worst. So start building an email list via funnels. Here's an easy 5 step process you can follow: 1. Building an appealing, low-commitment product 2. Creating a solid landing page that has appeal 3. Writing a 3-5 step follow-up email sequence 4. Talking with your leads (via DMs & emails) 5.
