This significant event is observed by Muslims globally to honor Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham's) unwavering faith and willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice as an act of obedience to God. In Guwahati, city mosques are being beautifully decorated for the occasion. Stalls selling dry fruits, vermicelli, fruits, and glossy decorative papers are being set up.
