🚀 Huge congratulations to the six women-led agribusinesses in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta that have successfully pitched for up to VND 1 billion (AUD 60,000) each to scale their businesses as part of #Deltaccelerate! 🚀 Deltaccelerate is Vietnam’s first accelerator of its kind, providing tailored training, mentoring and funding to 14 agribusinesses that empower women and enhance the Mekong Delta's resilience to climate adaptation since launching in April 2024. It's made possible by a #DFATBpp partnership between the Australian Government and New Energy Nexus Vietnam. The six successful businesses were selected following a competitive Pitch Day - they include: 🌟 Cocovie: capturing the global cosmetic market with climate-resilient coconut oils from Ben Tre 🌟 VICOSAP: reviving ancient Khmer farming practices to create tasty treats that tackle climate adaptation in Tra Vinh 🌟 Palmania JSC: creating healthy, organic products from palmyra trees using sustainable farming methods rooted in An Giang province’s indigenous Khmer knowledge. 🌟 NetZero Pallet: transforming biomaterials, including coconut waste from the Mekong Delta, into zero-carbon pallets that optimise global green supply chain logistics 🌟 Ba Khía Đầm Dơi: preserving mangrove ecosystems and boosting livelihoods in Cau Mau through sustainable seafood 🌟 Ecoka: producing eco-friendly handicrafts with climate-resilient bulrush from Hau Giang to homes around the world.
