Unpopular opinion: hybrid work sucks. Hybrid work feels like companies trying to: 1) Please employees and not look outdated. 2) "Stay in control" by having employees within sight of their managers. Some of the problems I have with hybrid work: 1. If a company trusts their team to deliver while working from home 2 days a week, why not allow them to WFH 5 days a week? 2. When an employee has to come to the office 2-3 days a week, they can't choose where they want to live. 3. Hybrid meetings just look awkward with some people in the room and others on a screen. What are other things you don't like about hybrid work?
