Irrespective of the urgency and the need of Joseph's gift, he didn't appear before Pharoah without shaving and wearing a new cloth. The clothes and shaving complement his gifts. It's an error to have gifts without discipline and character. Your gift will only make way for you when it is accompanied with discipline and character. The shaving and clothes are appearance and respect towards those who need your gift. That you're gifted doesn't mean you should lack manner, disrespect those who need you or dress as you like before kings. Your gift will make way for you and bring you before kings when you're dressed with clothes pleasing to eyes of kings, not in nakedness. A king will only welcome you first for your appearance and honor towards them before you express your gifts. Why is your gift not bringing positive things to you? Check your manner, your character, your discipline level, your honor system, and appearance. These aforementioned matter in this journey. Now you know this, embrace it. C. N. Ebere

𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝, 𝐲𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞. He knew that the King was passing by and had the answer he needed. He screamed out loud to get the attention of the King . Everyone around tried to shut him down but he cried out even louder. Boom 💥, the King heard him and gave him the answer he sought for many years. Not only that, he was conveyed to the King by the same persons who criticized and shut him down. Plus, he had the honour of walking side by side the King. Thats the story of #Blind #Bartimeaus. Stop brooding over what you don’t have or past failures and amplify your strength. 🎆 Show up.. yes Show up. Every day, just show up irrespective of naysayers around. Some will say- “your own is too much”. Others will say- “ you like to be noticed”. You will even hear - “you are too inexperienced to be heard or recognized “ Ignore still and show up. “When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” John 13:12-17 ESV 1. What does it mean to 'wash one another’s feet' in the context of where you live today? - Mark 10:44-45 - "And whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." 2. In what ways can you embody the spirit of servanthood in your daily life? - Philippians 2:3-4 - "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." 3. How can you understanding our role as a servant and how it transform your relationships with others? - Galatians 5:13 - "For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another."

It is the season of Epiphany on the church calendar. It is when we remember the story of the three wise men coming to worship Jesus as King twelve days after he was born, which is where we get the famous “12 Days of Christmas” song. Many of the passages during this season focus on Jesus’ kingship. They reveal who this little baby boy actually is. He is no simple peasant boy, but he is King of the universe, the fulfillment of all of God's promises, the one that the whole world had been waiting for, and especially the Jews. He is the One! That is no small revelation! But there is a disconnect for us. We can't really relate to the idea of having a king or needing a king. In fact, if you’re American like me, then your concept of a king is even more complicated. We have never had a king. Our country was built upon the premise that no person should be trusted with such power. We formed as a nation by rebelling against King George III in the Revolutionary War. We are largely suspicious of kings and monarchs, and we have a general distaste and disrespect for authority in many ways. No matter where you stand on the political spectrum we all have a very robust sense of our personal freedoms. We don't want others telling us what we can and cannot do. We are usually the country that goes to great lengths to "free" other countries or people groups from such types of singular rule or authority. We believe that people should rule themselves. Right? That's our idea of freedom. So how is Jesus being king good news for us? Read more: https://lnkd.in/euP3kwcN #Jesus #king #kingship #grace #love #hope #epiphany #freedom #joy

Merry Christmas! 🌲 🌲 🌲 🎁 🎁 🎁 The phrase "Merry Christmas" is a traditional greeting used to celebrate the joy, warmth, and goodwill associated with Christmas Day. Here's why it's commonly used: Historical Usage: The word "merry" historically meant more than just "happy"—it conveyed cheerfulness, festivity, and high spirits, making it fitting for such a joyful occasion. Cultural Tradition: The greeting gained popularity in the 16th century and was cemented into popular culture when Charles Dickens used it in A Christmas Carol (1843). Expressing Goodwill: It conveys a wish for others to enjoy the season's blessings, love, and togetherness, aligning with the Christmas spirit. Religious and Secular Connection: For Christians, it's a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. For others, it symbolizes a time of joy, giving, and unity. Wish you have a good time! Life's purpose is to impart invaluable lessons, emphasizing the profound impact of forgiveness. Reflecting on King Saul’s misguided actions towards David, we witness the transformative power of forgiveness. Despite Saul's attempts to harm David, the latter chose forgiveness over vengeance, ultimately receiving blessings. This serves as a poignant reminder that forgiveness leads to divine favor, as seen in the tale of Saul and David. For anyone reading this message now, embrace the assurance that divine blessings are on the horizon for you, mirroring David's experience, due to your choice to forgo revenge. Anticipate victories and the abundant goodness of God in your life, understanding that you are journeying towards remarkable achievements! 🙏🏾 "The Lord repays each individual according to their deeds—rewarding righteousness and addressing wrongdoing. Today, the Lord placed you in my hands, yet I chose not to harm the anointed king of the Lord." What does it mean to be kingly? To me, to be kingly means to bear the weight of complete and final responsibility for the wellbeing of a domain in such a way that requires one to rise against any of countless forms of threats while leading by example on the road to an envisioned, strategic conclusion. I use the term "bear the weight," because that's exactly what I believe it should feel like: A genuinely benevolent king should lift the heaviest weight from his people as the first and most self-sacrificing servant of the sovereign...not lay it upon them. This is simultaneously what it means to be a strong king, as well, because a weak king could not "bear the weight" with either his body or his thoughts. My "people" of my "domain" in this case, would be my family. One's own home should generally be where he becomes king first; though, I use the word "domain" as an open-ended term, because there are many figurative contexts in which a man can declare his kingdom. True regality then is not so much a title but an achieved state of mind that we metaphysically actualize into, not as a target in and of itself, but as an indirect manifestation: a consequence of choosing how to respond to life's various sufferings with dignity, grace, duty, and sacrifice. Hence the old adage that says kings are not born, but made.

When we begin to discern God's heart, not just the injustice, we live past our generation's eyes and see with God's vision. We see what God wants to do and we see who He "is" and what He "is" doing and we call our community into it. We have to call forth what is in God's heart as though, it is fully available now, instead of looking at what's missing. That is why some Christians in the civil rights arena are negative and feel like we are going backwards. Some can see beauty in the fact that we have had our first black president--a direct fulfillment of Matin Luther King's dream. It's time to keep living the dream, not just fight for what we don't see happening. We have to discern both good and evil but live in the good, the right, and the noble. We have to keep our eyes and affections fixed on God and see things from His perspective, living from the place of His presence and heart of love. We are often at war with His perspective, and the prophetic can either compound that war or bring hope. The Bible is often called the gospel of "Good News!" Prophecy should reflect that. Discernment is merely God's conversation starter. When you have empathy, compassion, passion, or a heart for justice, many of the things you discern will leave you feeling strongly emotional and spiritually sapped. You cannot stay at the conversation starting point. God has given you discernment so you can pray and get "His" perspective. Sometimes God shows you what is not happening so you can define the void and pray a resolution from His heart. Sometimes He shows you what people are not doing so you can hear God's heart about what He wants to raise up. Any discernment outside of relationship can cause people to become political, manipulative, and divisive. We aren't called to "evil" as a goal; we are called to discern God's heart. That means sometimes we will see evil so we can see what God wants to do about it. If you take out the second step (listening for revelation), however, you can become as evil as the thing you discern without even knowing it. Discernment was never supposed to be your main focus; relationship was.

There was something far more worthy of mentioning about Daniel than his Fast: “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.” Daniel 6:3 KJV In these contexts, it highlights several key attributes: 1. Wisdom and Understanding: Daniel had exceptional knowledge and the ability to interpret dreams, solve riddles, and explain complex matters (Daniel 5:12). 2. Integrity and Faithfulness: He was trustworthy and not negligent or corrupt in his duties (Daniel 6:4). 3. Godly Character: Daniel’s commitment to God and his principles set him apart, influencing his behavior and decisions. Thus, an “excellent spirit” reflects a combination of intellectual ability, moral integrity, and spiritual devotion. Family we have work to do!
