When was the last time you celebrated a win? It could be a big win or a small one. Celebrating your wins, even the small ones, helps you stay positive and feel good about making progress. Each time you stop to recognize an achievement, you're telling yourself, "I’m getting closer to my goals," which gives you the energy to keep going. Instead of just waiting for a big win to celebrate, marking these small moments makes the journey more enjoyable and keeps you motivated. Celebrating little victories also boosts your confidence. It’s easy to focus on what you haven’t achieved yet, but when you pause to appreciate what you have done, you remind yourself of your strengths. Every time you recognize a win, big or small, you’re building up belief in yourself, which makes it easier to handle challenges or doubts when they come up. Sharing your wins with others, like friends or family, can help them feel encouraged to celebrate their own successes. When we celebrate together, it creates a positive vibe where everyone feels uplifted and supported. Over time, these shared celebrations can make your group or community feel closer, and everyone benefits from the motivation and encouragement to keep reaching for their goals. ~ Catherine Pierce

Not every day feels like a big win. And you know what? That’s perfectly okay. Today, I woke up feeling overwhelmed by the endless to-do lists, goals that feel just out of reach, and the pressure to always be ‘on.’ But then I took a step back and realized something, the journey isn’t just about those big, flashy achievements. It’s about the small, everyday wins that often go unnoticed. Maybe today, your win was replying to that one email you’ve been putting off. Or maybe it was finally taking a break and going for a walk to clear your mind. For me, it was making progress on a project that’s been challenging me for weeks. These moments, as small as they seem, are what keep us moving forward. They’re the building blocks of something greater. What’s a small win you’re celebrating today? Let’s take a moment to recognize and appreciate those little victories that often go unnoticed.

Everyone remembered the Nilla Wafers and taco nights. Had the honor of attending a celebration of life for a 99- and 103-year-old couple who passed within a year of one another. As I didn’t know the couple well, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the service or to be as deeply moved as I was by the stories that were shared. I was struck by how much of my time I spend thinking about things that won’t make much of a difference in the impact I make during my short time here. As I think about the legacy I leave, I will look to Marg and Lloyd for the example they set. My takeaways: • What their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren remembered most was their love, the way they lived their lives, and how they treated others. • Memories were mostly about quality time spent with family (often over tacos and Nilla wafers). Traditions matter. • What they said mattered much less than what they did. How does this relate to my approach to work and life? • The relationships I build along the way are worth far more than the title or the paycheck. • The traditions we create don’t have to be Instaworthy, they just have to be real. • The moments matter. Between coworkers, friends and families. Take the time, make the connections. Everyone wins.

Absolutely right Warren Buffett “Were we to use more than 1% of my claim checks (Berkshire Hathaway stock certificates) on ourselves, neither our happiness nor our well-being would be enhanced. In contrast, that remaining 99% can have a huge effect on the health and welfare of others.” Pledge Letter My Philanthropic Pledge In 2006, I made a commitment to gradually give all of my Berkshire Hathaway stock to philanthropic foundations. I couldn’t be happier with that decision. Now, Bill and Melinda Gates and I are asking hundreds of rich Americans to pledge at least 50% of their wealth to charity. So I think it is fitting that I reiterate my intentions and explain the thinking that lies behind them. First, my pledge: More than 99% of my wealth will go to philanthropy during my lifetime or at death. Measured by dollars, this commitment is large. In a comparative sense, though, many individuals give more to others every day. - Giving Plege
Today is my friend Warren’s 94th birthday. To this day, I still learn so much from Warren every time we're together. I cherish his friendship, and I'll always be grateful for his extraordinary support of the foundation. It’s hard to quantify the impact he’s had on the lives of so many people around the world. The only thing as big as Warren’s generosity is his sweet tooth.

The only thing that has more worth than my word is another human life. This is one of the maxims I live my life by. Good to see that there are others out there with a similar philosophy. When you take a responsibility your are giving your word to the stakeholders: your boss, your client, your family member, your friend... in fact, to anyone. But when your word is also a representation of your inner core values, it's not just a thing you say you need to do because you are now forced to do it by giving your word... 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼. A value system is just that: placing a ethical/moral value to actions. If you are honest about how you set up your value system and interiorise it, then making tough ethical decisions is not an issue, it comes out naturally. Well done Alexander Held. Many can learn from your example. 😎 👍👍👍
Responsibility, integrity, duty, commitment... what is the price on that? This young man is offered $100,000 to walk off his fast food job right now. Right now. But he says no. He can't. And that's because his colleagues today are short handed as it is and he can't make things worse for them. Even for $100,000 which would have completely changed his life. It's his reflexive response. How absolutely incredible is that. #respect
