Women make up 85 per cent of non-profit support staff in Canada but hold only 70 per cent of senior executive positions. A US study also found that male leaders in the sector typically hold more power and resources than female leaders do. Hear from women about what the sector needs to change to get more women into leadership roles and why there is optimism for the future in this article. #nonprofitleadership #womeninleadership

Women working in Christian nonprofits, I'm curious to know how relationships have influenced your leadership. Would you share your experience in a 5-10 minute anonymous survey? Women are often encouraged to develop leadership skills through training, but research indicates that the relationships surrounding women are at least as important as (maybe more than!) skill development. The study behind this survey focuses on those relationships that help women launch and sustain their leadership journeys, including the type of support they receive through their relationship networks. Participants must be women 18 years or older who are working for or have recently worked for a Christian nonprofit (i.e. church, denomination, para-church organization, charity) registered in Canada or the USA. Please consider sharing this survey with any women in your network who may qualify. This survey is part of a PhD dissertation at Eastern University. Thanks in advance for your time and support!
