Restaurant Leadership Conference is here. It's always my favorite show of the year because of all the people you meet in the hallways. Met some awesome guys yesterday from Taco John's International, Inc. got to hear about how their POS transition is going and how things have changed for them post COVID (not to mention making decisions and then needing to enroll 100 Franchisee's into those decisions, which are completely different than the challenges that we face Vine Hospitality). Hearing about what others are utilizing for their tech stacks, what's working well, what isn't working, what could be better and where they still see gaps is ultimately why I come to shows so I can learn from others and incorporate that learning to accelerate my own companies growth and success. I'm still not seeing enough independent operators out and about at these shows though and I can't stress enough how valuable it is to come and chat with your peers and those that are further ahead in their growth cycle to hear first hand what's worked and what hasn't.
