✨ Day 5: DTU Executive MBA Silicon Valley Immersion Tour 2024 - FINAL day and Wrap-Up at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business ! We capped off a fantastic week of exploring Silicon Valley’s “secret sauce” with final sessions at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, gaining insights into culture, corporate innovation, and leadership timing. These sessions provided valuable frameworks for driving sustainable success and innovation: 🎉 Highlights from our final day: "The Berkeley Changemaker Program" with Laura Hassner, on how leaders at Berkeley managed to shape a winning culture by making it strategically relevant, strong, and adaptive. This session underscored the power of purposeful culture-building in shaping resilient organizations. “Corporate Innovation” with David Charron, who introduced the Location & Fit Framework for building a corporate innovation ecosystem. We explored the four critical quadrants - Internal Development, New Business, Investment, and Acquisition - for aligning innovation strategies within a mature corporation to compare and contrast our learnings on How to Build Successful Starts Ups in Silicon Valley (and beyond). “Innovation Leadership” with Kurt Beyer delved into two crucial factors for entrepreneurial success: Timing and Execution. This session highlighted how, compared to Idea, Business Model, and even Key Investors, the precision of timing and flawless execution are the most significant contributors to achieving entrepreneurial success. 🥇 A personal thank you to Kurt Beyer for collaborating with me on continuous developing the program this year, along with immense gratitude to all the contributing faculty members at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and the exceptional Program Management team Elizabeth Lowry, MBA, Iris Ramirez, and Vanessa - for ensuring smooth operations throughout this unique and inspiring journey. 🙌 A huge thank to our own Executive MBA team Carolyn Rutherford, Stephane Guerraz, Ida Stub Johansson and Wioletta Polakowska for securing smooth operations behind the scene, and top execution during the week long study tour. 😍 Finally, a huge thank you to DTU Executive Education EMBA Cohort 27 and the joining DTU - Technical University of Denmark alumni for making this week an unforgettable, personal experience - we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Your engagement, camaraderie, and personal contributions made this immersion truly exceptional. Thank you all!
