CalMac crew are pictured on board MV Glen Sannox, welcoming the new vessel to the fleet. The vessel will serve the isle of Arran from mid January after a period of familarisation. CalMac interim CEO Duncan Mackison said: "MV Glen Sannox is a welcome addition to the CalMac fleet. Her arrival will benefit communities across the whole west coast ferry network, as new tonnage gives us more flexibility in how we deploy vessels. Our crew are excited to sail her and will now get to work to complete operational trials and familiarisation work in the next few weeks before she enters service for Arran." well done Ferguson Marine you have done yourself and Port Glasgow proud 👏
Fantastic to see her officially handed over and in CalMac hands - can't wait to see her earn the same reputation as the venerable #HebIsles
Congratulations and best wishes to you all.
Good stuff. Really hoping hear introduction shall mean a marked uptick in reliability on the Arran service and that the operating weather envelope will expand to resemble what it used to be, particularly in East winds.
that is the most delightfull thing and never heard of it. 😈
Congrats guys Look forward to travelling to Arran in the future aboard this new ferry
Look forward to sharing our LNG experience going forward.

1moFantastic but not saying from which port on the mainland. Still no commitment it seems about Ardrossan upgrades.
