Consider the statistics: the average tenure of university presidents has plummeted by 30% over the past 15 years, highlighting the urgency of the situation. Likewise, turnover trends among deans are concerning, with a quarter of business school deans serving for three years or less, and similar patterns observed in law and medical school deanships. Such rapid turnover not only disrupts the continuity of leadership but also hampers organizational progress and morale. Moreover, the financial ramifications are significant, impacting institutional stability and growth.
