This team has been a faithful partner to Havenwood for a long time. They've supported our mission financially, as well as generously given of their skills, expertise, and time. They are true partners, generous in every sense of the word and we deeply appreciate their corporate culture. We can learn some great lessons from corporations like Kendal King. 1. Communicate - knowing your charitable priorities for next year helps nonprofits be better stewards. Even if the news is disappointing to your nonprofit, the communication is a gift in itself. 2. Mutual advocacy- Helping your partner tell their story helps the partnership. Charities should have a basic understanding of your business and companies should understand the charities mission. 3. Transparency - The charity has the responsibility of being a partner the members of your company can be proud to support. We partner by celebrating the wins and sharing the disappointments. Thank you Kendal King for being a huge part of empowering single mothers and their children to move from crisis to self-sufficiency. We are grateful.

Scottie Scheffler has been through a lot these past couple of months, but keeps on persevering and setting records! As you might already know I am loyal supporter of the Brisbane Broncos since the early '90s. Like 100,000’s of others, I've witnessed the exhilarating highs of the 90s and 2000’s and just last year, the challenging lows, and every year in between, that come with being part of such a storied club. This season, despite all of OUR collective expectations, it didn’t unfold with a finals finish. However, I firmly believe that it’s in these challenging moments where true character and resilience are forged. The cartoon by Brett Lethbridge in today’s Sunday Mail while humourous, captures a moment of reflection that resonates deeply—not just for our players and coaches, but it should be for all of us who stand by this club. It’s easy to be disappointed when things don’t go our way, especially after the high of last year’s grand final. Yet, I choose to focus on the positives: the moments of joy, the lessons we've learned, the growth we've experienced, and the unwavering passion that continues to drive every member of the Broncos community. In both sports and life, success is rarely a straight line. It’s about how we adapt, learn, and come back stronger. I have no doubt that our team will use this season as an opportunity to reflect, regroup, and refocus on what it takes to climb back to the top. Let’s continue to support our team whether it be your family, friends or colleagues—not only in moments of triumph but also when our resolve is tested. After all, it’s resilience that separates the good from the great, and I firmly believe the Brisbane Broncos are destined for greatness. Imagine, if I was to organise a business event, charge you a lot of money for the privilege of getting in and then fleece you for drinks and food – would you attend? You might if the content & the experience were memorable. Time to put the paying spectator at the centre of this experience. So let's make tennis a better spectator sport. Try a single serve game. First serve doesn’t go in, its point over and move on to the next point. This would speed up the game considerably and make it a lot more attractive to watch. What about reducing the number of sets from five to three for the grand slams? Same logic. I play tennis, but I don’t want to sit and watch two players slog it out for up to five hours. Its boring.
