Today, we’re launching a new report with Aldersgate Group and RenewableUK on how the UK can fast-track clean energy while safeguarding nature and involve local communities every step of the way! We’re calling for: 💡 A nationwide public campaign led by the government to highlight the benefits of renewable energy. 🌳 Smarter planning that puts the environment first from the start. 🤝 Amplified community engagement to ensure local voices are heard from the start. 🏗️ Boosted resources for local planning teams. Without these updates, we risk missing our clean energy targets. Let’s make the planning system work for people, nature, and future generations. 👉 https://bit.ly/3ZaYjVh

#MeetTheTeam! Today: the always optimistic Lisa Läckgren Haukaas 😊 Lisa is working with our Swedish and Danish assets, from early-stage development to operations. Lately, Hydro Rein has developed and acquired a sizable wind and solar project portfolio in the two Scandinavian countries. What motivates you, Lisa? "I'm motivated by the fact that I can contribute with the green transition for industries by developing clean and green power. Another thing that motivates me, is that we aim to remain an owner through the lifetime of our projects, meaning that when developing projects we work with a long-term focus." What makes Hydro Rein different? "Hydro Rein's ambition is to be a long-term owner of the projects, which historically hasn't been a common approach among developers. I think a long term focus is key when working with sustainability and stakeholders in the hosting municipalities."

🌱 Perlen Packaging invests in sustainability in Müllheim 🌍 Perlen Packaging GmbH in Müllheim expanded its existing energy supply concept at the beginning of the year. This now enables the entire site to be powered by renewable energy sources. Since the beginning of this year, the new investment has made it possible to operate the three calendering lines with renewable energy sources. The company can now completely dispense with fossil fuels. The decision to specifically promote renewable energy sources is a central component of the company's commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. Perlen Packaging GmbH, Müllheim, is thus actively responding to the challenges of climate change and helping to significantly reduce CO2 emissions. A heartfelt thank you to the main project leaders Reiner Gerlach, Heiko Bär and Andreas Engler, whose commitment and expertise contributed significantly to the successful realisation of the investment. #PerlenPackaging #Sustainability #SustainableEnergy

Utility-scale renewable energy projects often face resistance due to the 'Not in My Backyard' (NIMBY) mindset. To achieve energy independence, enhance our quality of life, and protect our prosperity, we need effective solutions to overcome this hurdle. Call me an idealist, but I believe the energy transition is more compelling and consistent when we create beautiful & economical designs and use renewable materials to apply renewable energy technology. Drawing from our experience in high-performance electric sports car engineering and accelerating mass-market e-mobility and renewable energy transitions, we’ve developed solutions that we believe have the power to overcome NIMBY resistance. Will we achieve our mission "to innovate towards a circular future that excites and inspires" the Leiser Electric way by successfully combining people, planet, and prosperity? Follow us to join our journey and get regular insights!

Excited to be a part of the hugely ambitious Zero Terrain / Energiasalv team, under the leadership of founder and CEO Peep Siitam. Last week I had the opportunity to visit the site of the first Zero Terrain project, located in Paldiski, Estonia. This 500MW Pumped-hydro storage (PHS) project is a European Commission Project of Common Interest (PCI) and all the main building permits are in place. Zero Terrain’s novel PHS technology is the next-generation solution in the field, eliminating the need for altitude difference in terrain as the plant can be built on flat land; traditional pumped-hydro storages can only be built in mountainous areas. It is clear that Long-duration Energy Storage (LDES) such as this will be a key provider of energy security. Pumped-hydro storage (PHS) is a mature and affordable LDES technology that supports greater renewable power generation. A project such as this is a cornerstone of renewable energy strategies due to its carbon-neutral nature and cost-effectiveness. It will also reduce reliance on Russian gas. The exciting opportunity with Zero Terrain is that the technology offers the opportunity to apply the benefits of PHS in other countries where it was previously impossible due to geographical conditions. 📢 Exciting News! 📢 We're thrilled to announce Cathal Lee as part of our team to help kickstart Zero Terrain's global growth! With Cathal on board, we'll be elevating our global strategy, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and working with key partners across the globe. Welcome aboard, Cathal! Together we will work to support affordable local renewable energy and create a secure clean future for generations to come. 🌍💡 #Welcome #TeamExpansion #ZeroTerrain #EnergyInnovation #GlobalStrategy #StakeholderEngagement #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #FutureOfEnergy
