Exciting news for anyone considering a career in Medicine or Surgery! My good friend, Edward C. has recently launched a YouTube series designed to guide aspiring medical students through each step of the application process. Since its creation, the foundational textbook for learning gross anatomy, Gray's Anatomy, features illustrations exclusively of non-black individuals. This standard has shaped the training of #healthcare #professionals for over a century. As a result, generations of medical students, from interns to seasoned physicians, might not be fully prepared to recognize various conditions on black skin.
