Can I improve my clinical reasoning? Like anything else, you get better by practicing or 'exercising your clinical reasoning'. To do this efficiently, you need to: · understand what clinical reasoning is · identify which parts you need to work on · do things that target those parts .... a bit like targeting exercise for the problem at hand I am running two sessions for Life Ready / HBF Physio on practical application of clinical reasoning - check out the link if you are interested in attending NOTE *** Online attendance option now available ***

Exciting news for anyone considering a career in Medicine or Surgery! My good friend, Edward C. has recently launched a YouTube series designed to guide aspiring medical students through each step of the application process. I had the chance to be a part of it, along with other students from across the country, to share firsthand insights and advice. In this series, key topics such as entrance exams, personal statements, interviews, and effective revision strategies are broken down. The real-life challenges of medical school are discussed and explored. Tips on how to manage time and stress are also covered — crucial skills for future doctors. Whether you're just starting to explore medicine or deep into the application process, there's something here for everyone. Head over to Ed's YouTube channel ELC to check it out, and let him know what you think in the comments!

Since its creation, the foundational textbook for learning gross anatomy, Gray's Anatomy, features illustrations exclusively of non-black individuals. This standard has shaped the training of #healthcare #professionals for over a century. As a result, generations of medical students, from interns to seasoned physicians, might not be fully prepared to recognize various conditions on black skin. It’s time to discuss how diverse imagery in #medicaleducation can enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient care. Ultimately a training course is only as good as its faculty. This clip from Shounuck Patel, DO, one of the faculty at the Regenerative Medicine and MSK Ultrasound Course, perfectly captures our expert multidisciplinary faculty (surgeons, physiatrists, therapists, family practice sports, interventional pain) hard at work teaching....and then brainstorming in the evenings on how to teach better!

🎓 “This course opened my mind to a whole new set of skills to help my neck and back patients…” Watch April Rosenberg, PTA, share her honest experience about our MT-2: ESSENTIAL SPINAL SEMINAR – especially the impact on treating her back and neck patients. 🌟 Sometimes the best breakthroughs come from trying new approaches. In MT-2, you’ll dive into hands-on lab sessions—a full 95% of the live course—where you’ll practice assessment and treatment techniques like active physiological, passive accessory, and combination movements to treat all spinal conditions with both ease and confidence. Plus, every participant gets direct, personalized feedback from expert instructors to master the psychomotor skills. 💪 Expect “LIVE” patient assessments and treatments (where permitted) and extensive coverage of the CERVICAL, THORACIC, and LUMBAR SPINE, including NEURODYNAMIC ASSESSMENTS. You’ll walk away feeling like you’ve finally mastered the spine. ✨ Take it from April, how expanding beyond familiar techniques creates exciting new possibilities for patient care.
