Imagine a Canada where every family has access to affordable, high-quality childcare. 🤩 Programs like the $10 a day program are essential to Canada’s economic health by supporting women to stay in the workforce and easing any financial pressures in the household. At TPP, we’re advocating for programs, like the $10 a day program, that make this vision a reality. This #GivingTuesday, your donations go towards our efforts to make childcare affordable for every family. #BeHerChange #GivingTuesday #GivingTuesdayCA #TheProsperityProject #womensupportingwomen #womenempowerment #childcareadvocacy #kidsofcanada #CWELCC #earlylearning

32.6% - The average amount of annual household income Zorya grant applicants spent on childcare last year. For the 39% of applicants that were from single parent households, that number was above 50%. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) defines "affordable" childcare costs as costing no more than 7% of the total household income. And yet, trained, educated healthcare providers are often spending 5x that amount on childcare for just two dependents. Which is why this #GivingTuesday, we're focusing our fundraising efforts on providing additional full-year childcare grants. Donate, share, and please—thank your healthcare providers. https://lnkd.in/gW4BGj5x

At Rural Pathways, we work with Polar Cubs Childcare Center and other non-profit centers across the region, and we often see how their need for funding to supplement fees is misunderstood. So, let’s answer the question: Why is Polar Cubs Childcare Center asking for support?🤔 Nonprofit childcare centers like Polar Cubs operate under a unique business model that prioritizes affordability for families while navigating strict regulations and maintaining proper teacher-to-child ratios. These priorities often mean their expenses exceed their income, leaving a gap that can’t be closed by raising fees or cutting costs without sacrificing accessibility and quality. Supporting accessible childcare doesn’t just benefit families—it strengthens the local economy by enabling parents to stay in the workforce, supports local businesses, and fosters economic growth. It’s an investment in a thriving, resilient community. You can make a difference!💙Consider donating to Polar Cubs or a childcare center of your choice to help bridge this funding gap and support the future of our communities. Together, we can create positive change! Hawaiʻi just became the 33rd state to allow campaign donations to be used for childcare🙌🏿🙌🏽🙌🏻 With this, two-thirds of U.S. states have now made a significant step forward in empowering more parents of minors to run for office✨ A lack of affordable and accessible childcare is a barrier that holds millions of parents back professionally, with mamas bearing the brunt. Authorizing the use of campaign donations for childcare enables more moms to run for office. That’s why we’re working on getting Campaign Funds for Childcare (CFCC) authorized in every state to break down the barriers that prevent mamas from running for and sustainably serving in elected office. Hoʻomaikaʻi (congratulations), Hawaiʻi mamas! We hope this development will mean more of you will be in a position to run. Which state will be next? Find out more about it at https://lnkd.in/eq9m2s3C. #CFCC #ChildCare #Hawaii

Every time I spoke about paid family leave and childcare on the campaign trail, someone always said: “Ignore the women's issues. Stick to the bread-and-butter issues.” 🚨 We lose $120 BILLION every year because of the lack of childcare. 🚨 We lose $22.5 BILLION every year because of the lack of paid family leave. Childcare and paid family leave are THE bread-and-butter issues. We’ve failed to prioritize these policies as the economic imperatives they are. Women cannot continue to be our country's social safety net. This work is critical. When we invest in research and education regarding childcare and paid family leave, we unlock women’s full contributions to the economy and build a stronger, more equitable future for all. And now, with a $500,000 match from Melinda French Gates’ organization, Pivotal Ventures to Vote Mama Foundation, your support goes TWICE as far in driving this movement forward. ✨ Let’s build an economy that works for ALL families. Did you know that rural areas are losing childcare options at twice the rate of urban areas? Without sustainable solutions, this crisis threatens the future of rural families and local economies. At Rural Pathways, one of our focus areas is building sustainable childcare infrastructure in rural communities. Expanding options by adding providers and slots is crucial, but just as important is maintaining current slots and ensuring high-quality care. This allows more families, especially women, to stay in the workforce, boosting local economies and community engagement. Rural families face unique challenges—like long commutes, nontraditional work hours, and trouble retaining staff. Unfortunately, these issues are often overlooked by funders who may not understand their significance in rural areas. Even when funding is available, it’s hard to secure. That’s where our Getting Grant Ready Package comes in. We help established childcare nonprofits in rural areas tell their unique stories and secure sustainable funding. Over 3 months and six strategic sessions, we equip you with tools to strengthen your funding strategies and provide a custom grant template for future success. Join the other non-profit childcare centers already benefiting from our Getting Grant Ready Package. With limited spaces available for 2025, don’t miss out—reach out today to secure your spot! 📩 #GrantWriting #RuralPathways #SustainableFunding #ChildCare

Help us raise FOUR more full-year childcare grants for healthcare workers today, on #GivingTuesday! That's a goal of $48,000--and we are so lucky, because our community has already donated $43,150 of our goal! SO! For any amount we raise OVER $48,000, I'll personally donate enough to make up the full year. I sent out just a few texts last week looking for a match donor pool and ended up crying happy tears with gratitude for: Leslie Kirk of Innsena who is covering one entire grant. Kary Nulisch of Castlemark Consulting who once again made Emma Nelson and me cry by covering TWO year-long grants Michael Meucci of Arcadia for getting us well on our way to a fourth full grant The oracle, Dr. Kavita Patel of New Enterprise Associates (NEA), who is also my future co-author The Great American Entrepreneur Chris Klomp who obviously just hard eye rolled with embarrassment reading this description Nora Cox, board member and CEO of the Texas e-Health Alliance, the unofficial governor of Texas healthcare Lisa B., board member and my co-host at the Health Tech Talk Show who also has a real job at CEO of Civitas Networks for Health My work mom, Miriam Paramore, original ladyboss and CEO of RxUtility And KATHERINE LUSK, Kim Ball, Kirstin Smith, Janna Guinen, Andrea Bierschenk MBA, MS MIS, CPHIMS, SPOC, Debbie C., Michelle Harper thank you for being early to support us! 100% of individual donations go directly to fund our full-year childcare grants. Help us raise enough for at least four more grants! We understand not everyone has the resources to donate. A like, a repost and a comment all help us spread the word! Thank you to everyone who contributes, in any way at all.
