🌍 World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse (Nov 19) & International Day of the Child, National Child Day (Nov 20) 🌍 As we reflect on these important days, we stand with the educators, doctors, social workers, and caregivers who work tirelessly to protect and uplift our children. 💙 Together, we can create safe environments where every child is heard, supported, and given the tools to thrive. 🟣 At CAPT, we believe Play Therapy is a powerful tool in healing and building resilience in children. By using play as a language, children can express themselves, process trauma, and regain a sense of safety and empowerment. 💛 Thank you to all our allies who continue to make a difference in the lives of children. Let’s continue to nurture a world where every child can grow, learn, and play without fear. #ChildAbusePrevention #NationalChildDay #PlayTherapy #ProtectOurChildren #HealingThroughPlay #InternationalDayofChild #ChildSafety

A Courageous Child Abuse Survivor – 60 Minutes. In a recent episode of 60 Minutes, Madeleine West shared her story as a survivor of child abuse and the impact it had on her life. Her bravery in speaking out raises awareness of the insidious and destructive effects of Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs). These effects can be pervasive into adulthood and can prevent healing if left unaddressed. As a society, we must acknowledge that many survivors of abuse may have never disclosed or been justly supported. Despite this adversity, there are professionals who care. Motivate them to engage in activities that make them feel useful and fulfilled. 5. Assist them in their daily tasks, offering support with patience and empathy. 6. Today, we are standing at a critical juncture in our society, where the innocence and well-being of our children are under threat. Child abuse, in all its forms, is an insidious plague that robs our children of their childhood, their dignity, and their future. It is a betrayal of the trust that children place in the adults around them. But we must not despair, for we have the power to stop this cycle of abuse. We must raise our voices and stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. We must educate ourselves and others on the signs of abuse and how to prevent it. We must create safe spaces where children can speak out without fear of retribution. Let us remember that every child deserves to grow up in a nurturing and loving environment, free from harm. Let us work together, as a community, to protect our children and ensure that they have the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. Together, we can stop child abuse. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children. Let us pledge to be the voice of change and the champions of hope. #childabuse #stopchildabuse #peace #protectchildren #safety #futureleaders #education

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. At the HOPE National Resource Center, we see a world that honors and fosters positive experiences as being fundamental to everyone’s health and well-being. By practicing the Four Building Blocks of HOPE to promote equitable access to positive childhood experiences (PCEs), we as families, communities, and professionals can create nurturing environments where we can not only prevent child abuse but also allow children and youth to heal and build resilience from their past traumas. #childabuseprevention #positivechilhoodexperiences #PCEs

Hey Connections!!! In the current scenario, with alarming rates of rape, child abuse, and exploitation, it's crucial to have open and age-appropriate conversations with children about good touch and bad touch. This empowers them to understand boundaries, recognize unwanted touch, and develop healthy relationships. By educating children, we can prevent child abuse, empower them to speak up, and create a safer environment for them to thrive. We've taken an initiative to aware and educate children to protect them and help them thrive in the future. Our campaign, PAHAL - Chhote Prayas, Bade Badalav!! Focuses on teaching children about good touch and bad touch. Join us in empowering children with vital knowledge and skills to stay safe! Let's break the silence, let's break the cycle of abuse! Together, we can create a safer and more supportive environment for our children. #PAHAL #GoodTouchBadTouch #ChildSafety #Empowerment #Prevention #Education #SocialImpact

You might be familiar with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) which make it more likely a child will have negative health outcomes as an adult, but have you heard of Positive Childhood Experiences (PCE's)? By nurturing PCE's, we have the opportunity to promote positive health outcomes of children as they become adults. #BuildingTogether #CAPMonth2024 #HopefulFutures
