I've been to many tradeshows lately and it's amazing how 99% of the "sales" people at the booths just sit there, stand there, waiting for someone to come talk to THEM! Barely a few say hi but then still don't reach out or do anything proactive or creative at all, whatsoever!! (That was me for many years too, btw, so I get it. Lol)... Karl used to "kill it" at these shows and tick off everyone else there when he worked for TRANE Company. He would sit and stand in the isles, throw realistic foam bricks at people to get their attention, hit them with Air-Bazookas, (look it up, awesome), "hey, have you ever heard of Trane? Let me give you the 30 second low-down, then decide if you want to learn more", on and on, and the other vendors there would get upset with him because he was taking all the leads, people were crowding him, (not them)! If you're a bump on a log, like most and again like I "was", then that's what you deserve, no? OUR clients, who we've trained on these things, absolutely kill it now at these shows by being "different" and bold... STOP wasting time and money! MAKE these shows worth it friends!
