I've been fortunate to experience life from a privileged standpoint. Yet, this privilege has also opened my eyes to the stark reality faced by many in accessing life-saving healthcare, especially in rural areas where health expenses often hit hard and advanced healthcare facilities are often not in easy reach. It's a harsh truth that extends beyond borders, where timely and advanced medical care remains a distant dream for countless individuals. It is my roots that fuel my passion for enabling healthcare equity through technology. I firmly believe that everyone deserves access to efficient treatment and diagnosis, not just as a basic right but as the bedrock for fostering a robust, socially inclusive society. That's why I'm immensely grateful and proud to be part of the dynamic community at #SiemensHealthineers. Here, we're not just pushing boundaries; we're eliminating barriers altogether. Our relentless pursuit? Expanding access to top-tier healthcare for all, no matter where they reside. Through groundbreaking innovation, digitally driven services, and collaborative partnerships, we're revolutionizing the healthcare landscape, one breakthrough at a time. Picture this: a world where every nook and corner blossoms into a #BlueZone, where longevity and quality of life reign supreme. Places like Ikaria (Greece) and Sardinia (Italy) offer glimpses into what's possible when health becomes a shared treasure, not a luxury reserved for the privileged few. Yes, challenges lie ahead, but on this #WorldHealthDay, let's seize the moment to reaffirm our commitment. Together, we hold the power to transform healthcare, ensuring it reaches every doorstep, every community. Take a peek at the incredible impact we're making in Colombia: https://lc.cx/J-K-CI. The responsibility lies with us to turn this vision into reality 🚀 #AccessToCare #HealthcareInnovation #GlobalImpact #HealthcareEquity

A week of reflection for the SiSU Health Team and our CEO Samantha Fay as we hit 1 million self-service health checks, in the week after the #Darzi report was released. "It’s clear we must shift towards preventive, cross-society health initiatives. Employers and businesses, as well as the NHS, local authorities, innovators and individuals have a pivotal role to play. There is so more that can be done – particularly in leveraging accessible, scalable solutions in the community, for early detection and management of key health risks. At SiSU Health, our data shows the power of community health solutions and the potential for employers to contribute meaningfully to public health. By working with employers, the NHS and local authorities, we could deliver millions of self-service digital health checks annually – facilitating early intervention for conditions like undiagnosed hypertension in millions of adults, and preventing many from having a stroke. Preventive measures not only improve health outcomes but also deliver economic benefits. Let’s take charge of the future of healthcare!" #DarziReport #PreventiveHealth #CVDprevention #PublicHealth #HealthcareInnovation #WorkplaceHealth #healthtech

💡 Did you know that medical care accounts for only 10-20% of the factors influencing #health outcomes? The rest? Driven by advances in technology, the movement of health services—and monitoring—to the home once offered exclusively at centralized sites like clinics or hospitals will be one of the great innovations of the next decade in healthcare. #remotemonitoring #remotecare #healthcareinnovation
Health systems worldwide face significant challenges to #populationhealth, including the increased multimorbidity in an ageing population and spiralling delivery costs. This combination of challenges has prompted closer dialogue and demand for innovative and resilient approaches to healthcare delivery. One proposed solution inpartly combatting these challenges is expansion of #hospitalathome (HaH), often defined as the provision of inpatient-level care at home, regardless of whether that care is delivered in person, through digital/virtual approaches, or a hybrid of the two. Hospital at Home (HaH) is a potential solution, offering #careathome through in-person, virtual, or hybrid approaches. Despite focus on expanding #HaH provision and capacity, research has primarily explored patient care outcomes, patient satisfaction economic costs with a key gap in its environmental impact. By reducing this evidence gap, HaH may be better placed as a positive enabler in delivering healthier planet and population. This article explores the environmental opportunities and challenges associated with HaH compared to traditional hospital care and reinforces the case for further research to comprehensively quantify the environmental impact including any co-benefits. https://buff.ly/3zpamUU #digitaladoption #aihealth #populationhealth #healthcareforall #healthathome
