Today, we conducted the second workshop in the series of “Health Professionals Countering Disinformation”. The healthcare team at the General Hospital in Peja #Kosovo engaged in a discussion about health-related #disinformation and #misinformation, how that affects their work, the institution but most importantly, the health of the population. The session aimed to equip participants with the resources needed to identify and challenge false information effectively, as one way of minimizing the spread of misinformation. Vjosa Rama, participant, said, “The session elaborated how to identify disinformation in the media and social media, and the steps we can take to stay safe while receiving information.”

When health systems, population-health service providers and health plans are on the same page, good things happen. In his Session Keynote Address, Mr Manoj Jhalani, Director, Health System Development, World Health Organization South-East Asia, focused on primary healthcare, community empowerment, and multisectoral action for UHC and health security while highlighting how in turbulent times, political commitment is crucial for post-COVID recovery and advancing primary healthcare.   The panel discussed how the Resilient Health Workforce Framework stresses resource mobilization, digital tech use, and essential skills; the role of telemedicine; collaboration for data sharing; investment in diagnostics, and innovative financing; dashboards that aid community-based capacity building; and real-time monitoring for emergencies. eHealth Exchange is taking a step towards improving public health outcomes and healthcare delivery by introducing incentives to encourage data sharing. This initiative aims to promote interoperability and collaboration among healthcare organizations, government agencies, and public health authorities. By incentivizing data sharing, eHealth Exchange hopes to enhance population health efforts and facilitate timely access to critical health information. Allied Health professionals are also key to improving population health by increasing the years spent in good health. In turn, combining data, innovation, education, and transdisciplinary practice to make Healthcare better.

In 2023 we see Health Systems emerging as pivotal partners in Digital Health . The aim of these Health Systems is to address pain points and innovate. When examining 🏥 Intermountain Health, we discover that the leading Digital Health Cluster in terms of the number of ventures is Health Management Solutions, followed by Medical Diagnostics. In terms of therapeutic focus, the approach appears to be disease agnostic. Intermountain has established partnerships with Digital Health ventures such as Included Health, Amwell and others.
