Just heard the news about Sopra Banking Software’s rebrand to SBS (even though that’s how I’ve always known them… LOL). Come to think of it, “rebranding” is actually something we come across quite often in the talent acquisition space. When a candidate takes on a new role, they do a bit of a “mini rebrand” in order to fit in with their new company. It’s a fresh start and an opportunity to showcase their strengths and position themselves for career growth. It’s also an opportunity to define how their new colleagues perceive them, and adapting their personal brand to align with their new company’s values and culture will help them integrate more smoothly. As long as it’s done with authenticity and consistency, a personal rebrand will position them for new opportunities and responsibilities that align with their career goals. It’s always a privilege for us to witness our candidates flourish in their new position and achieve personal and professional growth. If you are open minded in terms of career direction, please get in touch. EXCLUSIVE: UniCredit has hired Deloitte to advise Italy’s second-biggest bank on its takeover bid for Banco BPM BPM: sources. UniCredit is tapping Deloitte to handle project management office, or PMO duties, to support its deal preparations including filing of documentation to regulators. UniCredit is also planning to hire financial advisers, though it hasn’t made final choices yet. Given the multiple parties involved and possible conflicts of interest for their advisers, several firms wouldn’t be suitable, the people said. Bank of America, Jefferies , Barclays and Mediobanca aren’t exposed to such conflicts and hence could be among the candidates, they said.

Now that I will soon be collaborating with Westpac, I took a moment for a "personal retrospective", looking back at the past year. I guess I’m one tough individual—nothing can stop me, except myself or death. 2024 has been a challenging year for the Agile market, and here are some stats to put things into perspective: • Over the last 18 months, up until December 2024, I’ve sent out over 180 proposals—each one rejected. • Every proposal required a deep dive into the situation, identifying the right economic buyers and decision-makers, and meticulously crafting and delivering the proposal. • The hunt for opportunities takes significant effort, and AI tools have been invaluable in boosting efficiency. Even with that boost, it still adds up to 135 non-stop hours of hard work spent with no return. If you're out there hunting for your next opportunity, hang in there—something will eventually cross your sights. Always be ready to grab it. Success is when preparation meets opportunity. As Friedrich Nietzsche wisely said: "Was mich nicht umbringt, macht mich stärker" (What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger).
