Did you know today is Cycle to Work Day? 😄 🚲 Today is a day that encourages employees across the country to swap their cars for bicycles and take part in a healthier, more sustainable way to commute. The Cycle to Work scheme was established as a way of promoting healthier journeys to work whilst also reducing air pollution. According to the Cycle to Work Alliance more than 2 million commuters working for 40,000 employers have received a bike through the scheme. So how does the Cycle to Work Scheme work? It is a government backed initiative that allows employees to acquire cycling gear in a cost-effective way. Payment for the goods is deducted from their monthly salary instead of paying any upfront cost. There are many benefits to cycling to work including increased productivity, improved mental wellbeing and less financial worry. If that’s the case, what are you waiting for?
