When I got this invitation, initially I was shocked. - A networking event that charges early stage founders but free for investors? - Isn't this exploiting young entrepreneurs and creating an unhealthy founder/investor dynamic? - Shouldn't pitch events showcase the most qualified startups, not a pay-to-play model? But then I considered another perspective: - If a founder doesn't know where to start raising, would this be a good intro? - If a startup invests in this opportunity, will it attract more serious founders? - An event like this adds value to founders, so doesn't it make sense to charge a fee? Genuinely curious about thoughts from founders / investors. What pros/cons from both perspectives about an event like this? Should there be more?
