Today is Earth Overshoot Day 2024 🌍 – the date when humanity's use of natural resources exceeds what our Earth can regenerate in a year. At CPI, we focus on using the Earth’s resources responsibly within a circular economy. Our remanufactured automotive parts have a lower environmental footprint compared to newly manufactured parts 👣⬇️ Choosing remanufactured parts reduces CO2 emissions by 60%, energy consumption by 42%, and the use of natural reserves by 70% compared to newly manufactured parts. We recognize that remanufacturing is just one step in addressing climate challenges, but every step counts 🙏 #EarthOvershootDay #CircularEconomy

#Ecodictionary: In the midst of discussions about carbon footprint, let's clarify: What does it really mean? In line with The Nature Conservancy, #CarboonFootprint measures the total amount of greenhouse gases, expressed as CO2 equivalents, emitted directly or indirectly by human activities. 🦶Carbon footprints come in different forms: 🚶🏻Individual: It's based on a person's consumption habits, encompassing means of transportation, home heating and cooling electricity use, eating habits, and consumption of goods. 🥤Product: This category includes emissions from raw material extraction, the production process, required energy generation, and product transformation for other companies, etc. 🏭Corporate: This category encompasses the emissions inventory related to a company or organisation's operations. Calculating and reducing carbon footprints is crucial for combating climate change. It helps individuals, companies, and countries make more sustainable choices and devise effective strategies for emissions reduction. Do you know what actions we can take to reduce our carbon footprint? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Together, we can make a lasting impact! #AlterClimateChange #Sustainability #ClimateAction

Are We Living on Borrowed Time? Understanding Earth Overshoot Day We often think Earth's resources are endless. Well, our planet might have a credit card problem. Welcome to Earth Overshoot Day, when humanity has used up all the resources Earth can sustainably produce in a year. From soil to water to air, everything seems endless...until it isn’t. Think of it this way: Earth gave us an annual allowance and we've spent it all by Earth Overshoot Day. The rest of the year? Credit cards and IOUs. This year, we hit Earth Overshoot Day on August 1, meaning we're in the ecological red zone. But here’s the good news: we can change this! Reduce, reuse, recycle, support renewable energy, cut down on waste and think twice before making that impulse buy. Every small step pushes Earth Overshoot Day back a little further each year. The earth may be finite, but our potential for positive change is huge. 🌍💚 You can check your individual footprint here: Footprint Calculator. Feel free to share this message and raise awareness about our actions impacting the planet. Together, we can help the Earth breathe a little easier. #MoveTheDate #EarthOvershootDay #Sustainability #EcoAwareness #PlanetEarth #EnvironmentalImpact #ReduceReuseRecycle

📅 The United Nations has named September 16th the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer to remind us that we must take care of every viable part of our planet. The ozone layer protects the Earth from the harmful portion of the sun's rays, thus helping preserve life on Earth. 📰 Our latest Sustainability report states that the increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases (GHG) over the past decades has driven global temperatures, intensifying extreme weather events such as wildfires, heatwaves, droughts, and floods. 🌱 Enery's main goal is to enable businesses to receive reliable, affordable, and clean energy solutions tailored to their unique profiles. This is our way of contributing to a greener and healthier environment. 🎯 Your business can electrify its operations and significantly reduce its carbon footprint with our diverse energy solutions. ➡ Check out our website and contact our team of professionals for more information: https://lnkd.in/diF7sSGe Sources: 💠 United Nation's website: International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer | United Nations 💠 Enery's Sustainability report: https://lnkd.in/de3ZUaxq #sustainability #GreenBusiness #solutions #ESG #wedotherightthingsright

The Carbon Cycle: Delicate Dance, Disrupted Balance The carbon cycle, the intricate movement of carbon through our planet, is crucial for life and climate stability. However, human activities are tipping the scales, causing significant disruptions. Here's a snapshot: The Cycle: Carbon flows between atmosphere, land, oceans, and living things through processes like photosynthesis, respiration, and decomposition. Human Impact: Burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and land-use changes are major disruptors, releasing excess carbon dioxide and affecting its natural removal. Consequences: Climate change is the primary consequence, with rising temperatures, extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and ocean acidification posing severe threats. It's time to act! Transition to renewable energy: Solar, wind, and geothermal energy can power our future. Embrace energy efficiency: Reduce consumption in buildings, transportation, and industry. Protect and plant trees: They are natural carbon sinks, removing CO2 from the atmosphere. Support sustainable land use: Minimize deforestation and promote carbon storage in soil. Explore carbon capture technologies: Innovative solutions can help remove excess CO2. #carboncycle #climatechange #sustainability #renewableenergy #takeaction

Yesterday was Earth Overshoot Day A day that marks the moment when humanity has used up all of our planet's regenerative resources for the year. It is a reminder that we need to be smarter about how we use the resources of planet Earth and find ways to live more sustainably to reduce our impact on the planet. The Global Footprint Network estimates that we consume the resources of 1.7 planets per year. A trend that has been steadily increasing since 1971. We can all do more with less. Industrial Energy Efficiency is 🔑

Hello LinkedIn, Today, August 1, 2024, we leave behind World Overshoot Day. This marks the day when we have exhausted the natural resources our planet can produce and the carbon it can absorb in one year. So, from this date on, we start living on borrowed resources for the next year. World Overshoot Day once again demonstrates the urgency and importance of sustainability and environmental awareness. We should take this day as a reminder and review our consumption habits, energy use and overall lifestyle. Small steps by all of us to raise awareness can lead to big changes. Increasing energy efficiency, encouraging recycling, turning to renewable energy sources and consuming less are just a few of the steps we can take for the sustainability of our planet. Today is a day to take responsibility not only for nature but also for future generations. On World Overshoot Day, it is an opportunity for each of us to take action and think about how we can live with less damage to this world. Let's lead the change together and protect our world. #WorldOvershootDay #ProtectOurPlanet #ClimateAction #GreenFuture #EnergyEfficiency #Sustainability
