𝑼𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑵𝒆𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 I came across the below video, that perfectly explained something I’ve often struggled to articulate. It highlights how neurodivergent individuals, like myself, may respond to a story/conversation/shared experience, by sharing a similar story of our own. This isn’t about shifting the focus to us or “making it about me.” It’s actually our way of showing understanding and connection—a way of saying, “I see you. I get it.” Similarly, if I ever interrupt YOU during a conversation, please know it’s not out of disrespect or a lack of patience. It’s not that I think what I have to say is more important. Often, it’s because I fear losing track of my thoughts before I get the chance to share something I believe is relevant or meaningful. I wish more people understood this about neurodivergent communication. It’s something I continue to work on myself, but it would mean the world if others could meet me with the same understanding I strive to offer them. Have you ever experienced this or noticed it in others? Let’s open the conversation to build more awareness and empathy! Last but not least, don’t dorget to follow #AlexPartridge, owner of the below Video/pordcast. He can help you, me, us, to understand it better in such a *simpler* way. _Now It All Makes Sense_ 📚📌

✨ We have the permission to expand our point of view. It’s amazing how often and how much we were taught to discriminate, minimize, or demean neurodivergent people in basic manners or workplace culture courses. There’s so much catching up to do. 🙌 For example: ⏰ Being late means disrespect. 🔄 Responding with a similar story means self-centered. 🕰️ Procrastination means not caring or not responsible. All of which are complete BS assumptions if the person you are dealing with is neurodivergent. 🚫💭 #Neurodiversity, #Inclusion, #WorkplaceCulture, #Diversity, #Belonging, #Leadership, #BiasAwareness, #Equity, #Neurodivergence, #Leadership, #ProfessionalDevelopment #ToLiveList

GUILLONTINE CHOKE (noun) Guillotine choke, the necktie of discomfort that asks, "Do you really want to be standing right now?" It's a submission that combines opportunity, precision, and the inescapable conclusion that breathing is, in fact, quite essential. Training in the guillotine choke is not just about finding the right moment; it's about creating it, teaching that anticipation and adaptability are crucial in both setting and escaping traps. It's a stark reminder that in the arena of combat, the ability to choke is as important as the wisdom to breathe. #groundstandard #guillotinechoke #necktieofdiscomfort #breathwisdom #anticipationandadaptability
