If you enjoy your work, you're in a good place. Taking pleasure in what you do allows you to be more efficient and productive. For me, it's business development. I love to see the transformations happen. Helping a business unleash its true potential is really thrilling. And what I’ve found is that the main challenge these businesses face is how to effectively communicate their value to the world. (And this is particularly true for businesses in technical fields, as I've mentioned here before.) I've seen brilliant companies struggle to grow because of a lack of clarity – on mindset, communication, and approach. And this is where Switch comes in. Through our CATALYST program, we help businesses rediscover the spark that ignited their journey – the original purpose and drive that often gets overtaken by operational demands. But it isn’t a quick fix. It’s an investment in the future of your business. And it's what I love – seeing businesses transform, rediscover their purpose, and achieve the recognition and success they deserve. CATALYST is right for: ✓ Small to medium-sized B2B businesses ✓ Companies with technical or complex product offerings ✓ Business owners ready for transformative growth ✓ Leaders seeking to document their unique formula for success ✓ Teams looking to break through plateaus Get in touch to start your business’s transformation.

I turned down a $500k business opportunity. Why? It didn't align with my 'why'. Your 'why' is your compass in business. It guides every decision, shapes your strategy, and fuels your passion. Without a clear purpose, it's easy to get lost in the noise of daily operations and lose sight of what truly matters. Let me share how I use my 'why' to drive CultureLancer's mission and make impactful decisions: 1. Clear vision: Helping 1 million job seekers achieve economic mobility and live a fulfilling and purposeful life - This vision keeps us focused on creating real, lasting change in people's lives - It's specific and measurable, allowing us to track our progress and impact 2. Values alignment: Every opportunity must serve this goal with intention - We evaluate each project, partnership, or expansion against our core mission - This alignment ensures we're always moving in the right direction 3. Long-term focus: Short-term gains < lasting impact - We prioritize sustainable growth over quick wins - This approach builds trust with our community and creates a solid foundation for future success 4. Team motivation: Our purpose fuels passion and innovation - When the team understands and believes in our 'why', they bring their best ideas and effort every day - It creates a culture of ownership and shared responsibility 5. Authentic growth: Expansion that stays true to our core - As we grow, we ensure each new initiative or service aligns with our fundamental purpose - This authenticity resonates with our audience and strengthens our brand The power of a strong 'why' extends beyond just decision-making. It: • Attracts like-minded clients and partners • Guides marketing and communication strategies • Helps weather challenges and setbacks • Creates a sense of fulfillment in your work Clarity of purpose → confident decisions → meaningful success This formula has been transformative for CultureLancer. It's allowed us to stay true to our mission while achieving significant growth. More importantly, it's enabled us to make a real difference in people's lives. How does your 'why' shape your business choices? Have you ever had to make a tough decision based on your core purpose? Share your experiences below 👇 Let's learn from each other and build purpose-driven businesses that make a lasting impact. #PurposeDrivenBusiness #CareerMobility #AuthenticLeadership #BusinessStrategy #MissionDriven

💼 Imagine this: You're scaling your business, and suddenly, your once-productive team hits a plateau. What's going on? This isn't uncommon, but it can be a powerful pivot point if addressed creatively. Picture your business as a vehicle; the more passengers you add, the more precise the alignment needs to be. 🛠️ 1. **Realign Goals**: Start by gathering your team and revisiting your company's vision. Does everyone see the same destination? Misalignment can cause friction and stall progress. 🚦 2. **Open Channels**: Is there enough room for your team to voice ideas and concerns? Create a culture where everyone feels heard, and innovation can flourish. Think of it as an open road for ideas. 📣 3. **Leverage Strengths**: Identify untapped talents among your staff. Can your head of marketing bring fresh insights from a hobby they've never shared? Sometimes, a side street leads to a rewarding adventure. 🌟 Avoid the "one size fits all" trap. Customize task allocations, tailor responsibilities, and you'll notice the remarkable shift in energy and output. It's like fine-tuning your vehicle for maximum performance. 🏎️ Remember, it's not about using more fuel (effort) but optimizing the engine (team dynamics) for a smoother ride. Ready to shift gears and drive results? 🌍 Next up, I'll share how a simple change in our morning routine skyrocketed team productivity in less than a month! 🚀 But first, what's your go-to strategy for keeping your team aligned and inspired? Share your thoughts below! 💬 Success is a journey, and your leadership is the GPS. Stay the course, and together, we'll navigate toward success! 🌟

I finished reading Simon Sinek’s Start with Why a couple of weeks ago, and it really made me think. He talks about something called the “Golden Circle”—the WHAT, HOW, and WHY behind everything we do. WHAT: What does your company do, or what’s your role? HOW: How do you do it, and what makes you stand out? WHY: Why does your company exist, and why do you get up every day to do what you do? As I read, I found myself reflecting on these questions. WHY did I start my business? WHY do I do what I do every day? And should employees also have a WHY? After many years in corporate, I realized I never really asked myself that question—should I have? Should you? When I finally thought about my WHY, my first reaction was, “That’s too cheesy.” But no matter how much I tried to dismiss it, I kept coming back to the same answer: I want to make a positive difference in people’s lives. It’s what makes me happiest—whether I’m helping people connect, solving problems, mentoring, or just offering support. It’s those moments that feel most meaningful to me, even when there’s no financial reward involved. Simon Sinek encourages companies and leaders to build everything around their WHY and let it guide all decisions—strategies, partnerships, hiring—you name it. It’s what he calls “The Celery Test.” So, what’s your WHY? We only get one life—do you know what drives you?

As a founder, you have the ability to help everyone in your company do great work. It starts with you. What it takes to build a great company may not be easy, but it is clear. And a key part of building a Stage Five company is attracting and retaining talent who understand and align with your Vision — team members who find value in being a part of that Vision. That’s why being clear on the pieces that make up your Vision is essential. These include: → Who you serve → How you serve them → Why you do it → Who you are → Your level of ambition These are part of your Focus Filters, the lens through which your team can see—and act upon—your Vision. You’re establishing Forever Agreements with them and providing them with context to focus and understand how their work contributes to building a great organization. Your Focus Filters simplify every decision and action your team will make. They help you: → Stay focused. → Allocate resources. → Unify your team. → Stay true to your Vision. If you’re struggling with any of the above decisions, this blog is for you. #founders

Rethinking business in 2025: Forget "just profit." Focus on value. What I believe a true business should offer: • Creating meaningful impact • Supporting the growth of employees • Building genuine relationships • Empowering communities • Innovating with purpose Too idealistic? Not at all. The "real secret"? Prioritizing value over profit builds loyalty, resilience, and lasting impact. For me, LinkedIn has been key. Through it, I’ve: • Connected with like-minded leaders • Sparked valuable conversations • Built trust and opportunities And the best part? It’s doable for anyone willing to rethink business. Want to start your journey? Let’s build a better future.
