What’s happening in the Civil Service HR Casework (hosted by MoJ) – HR Technical Consultancy (HRTC) space and what are we up to in the next few months? The HRTC, in partnership with MatchFit continues to grow across the Civil Service having now worked with 11 different Government Departments and Agencies. We are currently working with a number of Civil Service departments and are having positive conversations with others about commissioning work in the near future. To support with the upcoming onboarding of a new client we have designed and begun delivering over 20 workshops aimed at upskilling line managers of all grades across the department. The workshop prepares line managers for accessing and working with CSHR Casework by exploring the guiding principles of employment law, developing their confidence in relation to HR policy and managing HR cases. The initial workshops have taken place both face to face and virtually, with delegates reporting a 35% increase of confidence in relation to managing employee relations cases as a result of attending the workshop. Our delegates have particularly benefitted from understanding the implications of putting things off, making poorly considered decisions and the importance of seeking advice from HR at the earliest opportunity. The recruitment campaign for HR Training Leads has now concluded and we have offered five roles to successful candidates which have been provisionally accepted. These candidates are now progressing through vetting, and we hope to confirm start dates with a number of them very soon. #GoodToGreat #Development #Partnership #Collaboration
