12 years back when I saw the Virtual reality apparatus for the first time, I was excited and amazed to see how Virtual graphics can dodge the human senses. The whole world can be made virtual now and exists as the #metauniverse. Now, when we discuss #vedanta concepts under the #UnderstandingIndia course of Rishihood University, I am perfectly aligned with the experimental aspects of the #जगतमिथ्या l The world is virtual and can be sensed by our senses, while the #humanbrain perceives this aspect as reality in the present Universe. This assures that there are larger universes as well as realities which can be projected. Now, we have Virtual reality apparatus much lighter in weight, much higher in resolution, much higher in computation and mobility. Now the larger question is for how long one can be kept in illusions if senses align to perceive the world away from senses? Any experimental design would be appreciated to work on the question. However, we will still be perceiving the experimental results with our worldly senses only. #irony

What criteria define "advanced" art for you? Art constantly pushes boundaries and redefines itself. But what constitutes the "most advanced" art form? Today, let's explore art through different lenses: Technical Virtuosity: AI Art: Algorithms generate ever-evolving creations, blurring the lines between human and machine creativity. Biotechnology Art: Living organisms or biomaterials become integral parts of the artwork, raising ethical and artistic questions. VR Art: Immersive experiences transport viewers into the heart of the artwork, challenging traditional modes of engagement. Conceptual Innovation: Performance Art: Fleeting experiences blur the lines between art and life, sparking dialogue and questioning definitions. Conceptual Art: Ideas and concepts take center stage, challenging aesthetic expectations and provoking intellectual engagement. Social Practice Art: Art becomes a tool for social change, addressing issues and fostering community interaction. Interactive Engagement: Interactive Installations: Artworks react to viewers, creating a dynamic experience that invites participation. Participatory Art: Audiences become co-creators, injecting their own ideas and perspectives into the artistic process. AR Art: Digital elements seamlessly blend with the real world, offering a layered and dynamic artistic encounter. The answer? It depends. There's no single "most advanced" form; the beauty lies in the diversity and ability to challenge perspectives. What criteria define "advanced" art for you? In this article for The New Yorker, renowned expert Jaron Lanier reflects on the evolution of #immersive #technologies over the past few decades. He explores the early excitement of experimentation to the current challenges of finding practical applications for everyday life. Jaron also discusses the need to balance technological innovation with an appreciation of reality and criticises the way technology is often promoted today. According to him, users don't want to be "trapped" in #VirtualReality forever. And the great truth is that living in a virtual reality makes no sense at all. So open up your mind and immerse yourself in this very interesting perspective!

Aesthetics in XR XR-experiences are often hyped on social media for their interactive and playful character but not as much for their aesthetics and visuality. Spatial computing is still an emerging technology that poses all kinds of challenges in terms of high aesthetic standards. With “Anomaly” we decided to take this on and created a multiplayer XR-prototype that is not only playful, emotional and interactive but also visually appealing. Our approach is to implement high aesthetics in both, the real and the virtual realm, to create a seamless and coherent experience. We curated a selection of minimalistic and characteristic bowls and designed and animated a range of digital humanoid assets that become physically interactible in XR. Contrasting levels of abstraction create excitement and the desire to explore. Experience what it feels like to touch and interact with our carefully crafted digital assets and thereby bring an inanimate digital alter-ego to life. Play and experiment with us in extended realities! “Anomaly” is an installation-prototype within the framework of the “empty-shells” XR-exhibition, a research project initiated by Professor Betty Schimmelpfennig at Hochschule RheinMain, in collaboration with Elastique. We are seeing an exciting demand for scientific mixed reality, particularly on the latest headset, the Apple Vision Pro. These headsets augment the world around you, where you can walk through fields of cells, or wade through molecular processes – taking people inside the mechanisms of a disease or action of a product. This technology transforms any room into a dynamic canvas, bringing scientific data to life like never before. We’ve seen incredible impact at congresses, in-field with MSLs, during internal training, and much more. Ready to elevate your scientific storytelling? Let’s chat about how scientific mixed reality can support your next initiative!
