As I step into 2025, I’m celebrating two milestones: the start of a new year and my 24th birthday!🎉 I’ve been reflecting on some key lessons I’ve learned over the last year, and here are 4 that stand out: 1️⃣ No one has it all figured out. The most successful people I’ve met are constantly connecting, asking questions, and open to learning. 2️⃣ Curiosity is a superpower. Ask why, explore how, and look for opportunities to innovate. 3️⃣ Take calculated risks. Some of the best opportunities and communities come from being open to the unknown. 4️⃣ Bring your whole self to the table. Your perspective is your power—no one else thinks quite like you. As I head into this next chapter, I’m excited to keep learning and stepping out of my comfort zone! #NewYear #GenZProfessional #MBAStudent

5 enCOMPASSion Fellows are going through the Empathy for Impact Fellowship this year! NVC, while learned in trainings and workshops, can be deeply personally transformative - intrapersonally, and perhaps also interpersonally. However, for the transformative potential of NVC to be fully lived requires something more. To this end, for the longest time, and behind many of our earlier endeavours, enCOMPASSion has been playing with the idea of action-based learning... a place to put into motion the principle and practices, so the rubber meets the road, the intention meets the impact, and we engage with "real life" outside of workshop spaces with the awareness and skills we receive from NVC. We are thrilled to announce that this dream is coming to life. We hold gratitude to the organisers of the last India IIT, Kunal Kankhare and Priti Sureka, for creating the conditions in which we could launch the very first cohort of enCOMPASSion Fellows. 5 people have embarked on a journey bringing to life their value-driven visions through envisioning and implementing their own mini-NVC projects! We celebrate our first fellows and are so deeply grateful for their willingness to not just venture into their own big, beautiful, audacious dreams, but also to support us in going through our own "Empathy for Impact" project - to turn these modules into replicable learning experiences - so that, in the future, participants from our programmes who want to deepen their journeys will have an opportunity to do just that. Through this Fellowship, we hope to empower more and more people to become ripples of change towards a world that works for everyone! A big shout out to Nidhi Agarwal, Neelam Pandey, Thilagavathi, Geeta Charusivam, and Anupam Srivastava! Can't wait to see what you do! #nonviolentcommunication #fellowshipprogram #fellowship #encompassionlearningsolutions #encompassionindia Manasi Saxena

"Doubts are inevitable" - especially when what you are doing is outside your comfort zone. It's an odd side-effect of upskilling. Shubhdeep Das, a student who was barred from college placements, felt exactly that when he started his upskilling journey with Crio. But fast-forward a few months and he had already bagged his first tech job. So what happened? While some of us quit when faced with the discomfort of upskilling, Shubhdeep Das thrived in it. At Crio.Do, we nurture this tribe of Doers, the ones that do not let failure define them, the ones that push beyond the boundaries of who they are! And this series is an ode to their excellence. If you ever had those moments of doubts and did not know where to start, this is the place for you. Because this is Crio, for the people who Do. Imposter syndrome is real, and it’s something I’ve battled for years. Starting college right after high school with dreams of becoming a veterinarian felt like the perfect plan—until it wasn’t. I enrolled in a Pre-Vet program right out of High School, only to realize that I wasn’t prepared for the academic challenges. For the first time, I struggled to keep up, and when I didn’t get the grades I needed, I thought: "Maybe I’m just not good enough." I spent five years as a Vet Tech trying to find a way back to that dream. But over time, I realized it wasn’t the right fit for me anymore. I pivoted to help my husband grow his chess academy, and during the pandemic, that journey took an unexpected turn—I discovered a new love for technology and software engineering. Through necessity, I had to learn fast—building websites, designing processes, and eventually developing an online chess platform. That experience led me back to school, where I earned a degree in Computer Information Systems with honors and joined the TechWise program, a Google-backed initiative supporting non-traditional developers. Today, I’m a Systems Analyst at Drake University, still actively learning and growing as a Software Engineer. And now, I’m excited to share the next step in my journey: I’ve been selected as a Mentee in the inaugural cohort of the Google Women Techmakers Mentorship Program! 🎉 I’m honored to be part of this incredible community and can’t wait to grow, learn, and build alongside my new mentor Maísa Wolff Resplande. This opportunity isn’t just a milestone—it’s another reminder that it’s okay if the first dream doesn’t work out. Sometimes, letting go opens the door to something even better. If you’re struggling with imposter syndrome or considering a career pivot, you’re not alone. Your path might twist and turn, but each step matters. Keep learning, stay curious, and trust the process. 💬 What challenges have you faced in your career journey? I’d love to hear your story. 👉 Join the WTM Membership Program here: https://bit.ly/3Z9Qvnc #Mentorship #WTMMentorship #WomenTechmakers #ImposterSyndrome #CareerDevelopment #WomenInTech #GrowthMindset

As I enter the final two-month stretch of finishing my master's degree, I'm filled with a whirlwind of emotions. Going back to school after a seven-year gap since my undergrad has been an emotional rollercoaster 🎢—difficult, stressful, yet incredibly rewarding. This journey has tested my limits and shown me the true depth of my strength 💪, resilience 🌟, and motivation 🚀. There have been countless late nights 🌙, early mornings ☀️, and moments where I questioned my decision, but each challenge has only made me more determined to see this through. I couldn't have made it this far without the incredible support system around me. My husband, friends, family, and work team have been my rock 🪨, providing encouragement, understanding, and patience. Their unwavering support has been my lifeline, especially now, as I navigate these final, high-tension months. I'm so close to the finish line 🏁, and I know that all the stress and hard work will be worth it. This experience has reinforced one of the most important lessons: no matter how tough the journey, with determination and a strong support network, we can achieve great things. To anyone else out there chasing their dreams amidst challenges, remember—you are stronger than you think 💪, and you are not alone 💙. #Motivation #Resilience #SupportSystem #MastersDegree #EducationJourney #NeverGiveUp

Reflecting on Growth and Lessons: Welcoming 2025 As I step into 2025, I am reminded of the journey that shaped me over the past two years. From moments of challenge to opportunities for growth, each experience has contributed to my personal and professional development. During the end of December 2023 and starting of January 2024 of was challenging as I prepared rigorously for the JEE Mains entrance. Despite my efforts, I couldn't clear it. However, this setback became a turning point. I learned from my mistakes, shifted my focus, and worked hard towards EAPCET, which opened the doors to joining Neil Gogte Institute of Technology. At NGIT, my world expanded. I met diverse people—both online and offline—who helped me understand new perspectives and mindsets. One of the highlights was participating in a college hackathon, where I not only gained technical knowledge but also honed my coding, logical, and problem-solving skills. 2024 was equally transformative. I embraced a mindset focused on career growth, letting go of unnecessary distractions and avoiding negative relationships. These experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying true to my goals. As 2025 begins, I look forward to the new lessons and opportunities this year will bring. Here's to growth, success, and embracing the journey ahead. Wishing you all a Happy New Year 2025! 🎉 #NewYear2025 #GrowthMindset #CareerDevelopment #Reflections #HappyNewYear #newyearresolution #NGIT #codingskills
