For any bereaved family, removing items from a home after a death can be a challenging experience. Losing a loved one is hard enough without having to then sort through their belongings. It can take days, months or even years, to get the courage to start the process of clearing through their stuff. Once you are ready, we can help you go through the items to help you declutter the items that are not needed, expired or have disintegrated (like plastic bags) and help organise the stuff you are keeping. We will help you go through the items with kindness, patience and compassion and some good old chatter to help pass the declutter time as easily and calmly as possible. If you need help to do a house clearance, get in touch with us to find out how we can help you. #DeCluttrMe #professionalorganizer

For many bereaved families, navigating holiday traditions can be challenging. Some may find comfort in continuing well-loved celebrations, while others may require new ways to mark the season. To help manage the needs of each family member, consider the following: - Allow everyone to share how continuing each tradition makes them feel and what may be potentially distressing. - Work hard to compromise. Try to differentiate what might be difficult for a family member to continue from what would be unbearable. - Eliminate the ones, for now, that would bring more harm than benefit to any family member. - Reduce holiday expectations so that each family member has a chance to cherish a tradition that is meaningful and grieve what has been lost. Most importantly, extend compassion to one another, understanding that needs can vary widely within any loving family unit. #bereavedfamilies #griefresources #griefsupport

We’ve made industry leading changes to our bereavement process to give our members peace of mind and reduce the burden on loved ones when a member passes away. Some of the improvements we’ve made are: - We now ask members to provide details and evidence of a beneficiary in life - Members can view a forecast of what their beneficiary would receive in the event of their death - Nominated beneficiaries can now complete their claim form online - Nominated beneficiaries can track the progress of their claim online These improvements reduce the amount of evidence we ask families for during difficult times, help members and beneficiaries plan for the future and can help speed up the claims process. The death of a loved one is usually one of the worst points in our lives, and bereavement will affect every single one of us. If someone you love passes away, it can have implications on your current Will, particularly if they were a beneficiary. The same can be said for new births in the family. New mouths to provide for shift people’s priorities, and it is important to ensure that those who depend on you are provided for if the worst happens. Whether your circumstances have already changed or are going to change, our private client team has more than 20 years of experience providing advice on how changes to your life can affect your Will. For further information on our free initial consultations, contact Stephen Sampson and our Private Client team on 0207 9366329. #Wills #MakingAWill #PrivateClient #Solicitors #UKLaw
