#LFG. For 10+ years leading in #residential care, I have been OBSESSED with one thing: how does a company create a unified culture within a 24/7 environment which has so many different types of positions and roles and schedules?? How do we make sure the 2nd Shift PRN Floor staff receives the same communications and feels a part of the same culture that the non direct care team does? How do we break down the "us vs. them" mentality that can exist in these settings with direct care not seeing/feeling the leadership team or feeling like they get to be a part of the company culture? In a growing organization, how do we ensure connectivity across locations, programs, states? I'll be honest, in my career up to this point I hadn't figured it out and it's driven me crazy. Well, New Hope Treatment Centers is trying something innovative to address this issue. Introducing the New Hope Hub! This is a free Employee App for all New Hope Team Members which will serve as an in-house communication platform, culture builder, place for recognition and shout outs, announcements, information (picture a staff-only Instagram meets Teams meets Facebook, meets Survey Monkey, meets etc. etc.). If a 3rd shift staff at New Hope wants to give me some feedback, I'm now just a chat away. If I want to make sure all of our direct care have equal opportunity to RSVP to this summer's Charlotte Knight's games (since they don't sit all day on a computer), they now can do this with a click of a button on their phone. This is going to bridge the divide that inherently exists in these settings and pave the way for greater connectivity and truly lived-out shared mission, vision and values (not just words collecting dust on a piece of paper). If you can't tell, I couldn't be more pumped for this! The big roll out is next week with our goal of our 575 employees all downloading The Hub by the end of the month. Check out the video below which really captures the WHY behind this. #letsgo #cultureiseverything Mike O'Connor Beekeeper Antoine Brown Mark Johnson Josh Santos, PMP Sara Nilsson Dr. Tiffany de León Leonard Shinhoster Anthony Jones Will Jones N Craig Bass Chris Nelson Jenni Lord Keith Howard Cameron Ford, PhD Beth Tyson 🧠 Paul Simon Dalin Gunnell Dolly Williams, LCMHC, NCC, LRT, CTRS Joey Funderburk, LMSW,LCSW-A, RHIT Patrick Balsley Patrick Puzzo DeAnne Baumgartner Gabe Conley Dana Andrews Krystal Long Ashley Parks Kate Peterson Donald Reuss Dr. Kimberly Grace Offutt Charles Prasifka Ryan A. Thank you for this. Your leadership, relentless drive for self-improvement, and authenticity are truly admirable. Never lose sight of who you are as you continue your climb to success! Julia Perilli Recently, a few people have asked me, "Aren't you afraid of being too open about your leadership journey in public? Shouldn't you only showcase what’s working?" My honest answer is simple: this mindset is why so many entrepreneurs struggle in silence. The belief that we must always present a perfect front is isolating and, frankly, harmful. The truth is, pretending that everything is always going smoothly drives many to feel like they’re alone in their challenges. Our generation needs to embrace the reality that success is hard-earned. It’s not always easy, but it’s absolutely doable. The pressure to pretend is exhausting, and I’ve found that by sharing my ups and downs, I can connect with others who are navigating similar paths. My hope is that by being open about my journey, even one person might feel less isolated and understand that challenges and setbacks are part of growth. Surround yourself with people who genuinely want to see you succeed. The right community will lift you up, not encourage you to hide. Care Indeed | Home Health Care

I had the privilege of attending a night full of celebration, emotion, and inspiration at Care Indeed | Home Health Care's 14th anniversary Gala last weekend! I was deeply moved by the heartfelt words of Vanessa, their COO and co-founder, who shared with vulnerability her incredible journey in forming and growing the company, and by Dee, their passionate CEO and co-founder, who spoke about their bold vision to help others and scale to reach even more. It was truly inspiring to see these amazing women lead with such pure authenticity, integrity, and strength, tempered with empathy. I’m so grateful to have met Dee through our EMBA program at University of San Francisco School of Management—her passion, dedication, and vision have always impressed me. And I'm grateful to have met Vanessa through Dee, and get to follow along on her success in scaling their company! It was an honor to witness how they continue to lead and make an impact through Care Indeed. Care Indeed is absolutely leading the way in home care and skilled nursing, with a mission to create a better world for both seniors and caregivers. It was an honor to witness the impact they continue to make. Here’s to many more years of growth, connection, and compassion! #Anniversary #Leadership #Inspiration #CareIndeed #HomeCare #Growth #Passion #Gratitude

Leading with Purpose: A Reflection on Cultural Change and Progress Ten months ago, I stepped into the role of service manager at MercyCare Wembley with a clear goal: to foster a more person-centered approach to care. I knew it wouldn’t be easy. Changing the way a facility operates—particularly its culture—requires patience, commitment, and a willingness to navigate through challenges. However, I was determined to create an environment where every person we care for feels heard, respected, and supported in a way that honors their individual needs. The journey has not been without its difficulties. Culture is built over time, and shifting long-standing habits or mindsets takes work. There were moments of resistance, as is common when introducing change. Progress didn’t always come as quickly as I would have liked, and I found myself occasionally questioning if I was on the right path. Yet, through it all, I remained focused on the bigger picture—the people we serve and what they need from us. Our team began to adopt a more collaborative and compassionate approach. We worked on listening more closely to residents and involving them in decisions about their care. These small changes started to build momentum, and slowly, I could see the shift I had hoped for: a more engaged team and a clearer sense of purpose around delivering person-centered care. Recently, our hard work was recognized when Wembley was awarded “Home of the Year.” It was an unexpected honor, and while we were surprised, we felt a deep sense of gratitude. This recognition reinforced that we are making meaningful progress. It’s been a team effort, with everyone contributing to the positive changes we’ve seen. However, I also recognize that this is just one step on a longer journey. There’s still more to be done, and I am committed to continuing to improve our services. The award is a nice milestone, but the real focus remains on the work we do every day to ensure the best possible care for our residents. Looking ahead, I feel optimistic. We’ve come a long way in a short time, and while there are challenges ahead, I’m confident we’re moving in the right direction. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, and I’m excited to keep pushing forward to build on what we’ve achieved.
