Klotz R-1040 (P/N KL-840R) is a racing-only version of the popular Klotz 10W-40 Motorcycle Techniplate Lubricant. The R-1040 formulation has been modified to improve thermal stability under high ambient and/or oil temperatures. This improves the lap-to-lap consistency of the engine’s power output. Hyundai to enter WEC and IMSA with LMDh from 2026 (apparently) Rumours of Hyundai entering endurance racing circulate for over the year. No firm statement, yet, but more and more details see the light. ✔ Car is expected to be based on the Oreca next-gen LMP2 chassis, the same used by Cadillac and BMW ✔ Engine will come from Pipo Moteurs. Pipo already supplies engines for Hyundai’s rally, rallycross and touring cars. Pipo V8 engine was already racing under the bonnet of Glickenhaus’ 007 LMH between 2021-2023. ✔ Hyundai already supports Forze Hydrogen racer development. ✔ Worth to note is technical regulations for both LMH and LMDh class were just extended until 2029, from 2027. 4 years of stable regulations might appeal to Hyundai. Current #wec regulations is one of the best things ACO and FIA done for a very long time. Grid got populated with plethora of brands, and competition got fierce and extremally close. This year LeMans finished with 9 cars on the same lap, 14 sec between 1st and 2nd, 1 sec decided last podium spot. Spectators could not ask for more. #motorsport #racing #racecar
