Hello Connections,
I hope you all are doing well. Today, I'd like to share some thoughts on the importance of draft control in Fired Heaters
Fired heaters play a crucial role in the energy consumption of the chemical process industries (CPI), particularly in petroleum refineries and petrochemical plants, where they can account for up to 70% of a plant's total energy use. While the significance of controlling excess oxygen in these heaters is well understood by plant engineers and operators. Both conditions result in significant energy inefficiencies and potential safety risks.
Training operators in effective draft control and making minor hardware adjustments can lead to substantial energy savings and improved safety. Automatic draft control can enhance the efficiency of fired heaters if designed and installed correctly.
