How do you measure success in a business? Is it total revenue, total profit, or some other metric? I would argue that one of the most important characteristics of a successful business is its ability to create impact; to generate change and help improve the lives of others. carter joey® has celebrated many "wins" and achieved impressive milestones over the last few years, but this one feels different - it IS different. Through the formation of "carter cares," we'll be able to impact the lives of countless people and continue striving to make a positive difference in the world. This idea is young, but the potential is massive. Please take a minute to visit the page linked below. 🎉🎈How are you making a difference in the lives of those who paved the way for us? Next weekend, I will be hosting a very special community birthday celebration for our oldest living Latin matriarch in our Greater Lansing, Michigan area. I legally adopted Mrs. Salinas five years ago and brought the community on board to help this indigent, childless widow. We have celebrated every milestone with the community’s support. 🌟 Here are three key takeaways from our journey together that might inspire you too: 1. Community Strengthens Legacy - By involving the community, Mrs. Salinas has been living the best of her golden years with love, dignity, and respect. 2. Small Acts, Big Impacts - Every little contribution, whether it’s time, resources, or a simple act of kindness, has the potential to dramatically improve the quality of life for our elders. Mrs. Salinas’s joyous golden years are a testament to what we can achieve together. 3. Business as a Platform for Good - As someone who offers Personal and Psychological Safety Keynotes, Consulting, and Coaching for Corporate and Associations, integrating philanthropy into my business model has not only enriched my professional life, but also amplified the positive impact we can have on society. 📣 Calling on fellow business owners and community members: Let’s pledge to give back, even if just a little. Imagine the world we can create with generosity at its heart. 🌍❤️ 💭 How can you use your resources or influence to help those in our communities who need it the most? Drop your ideas or current initiatives in the comments! #CommunityBuilding #BusinessForGood #Legacy #PersonalSafety #PsychologicalSafety

🐾🏔️ Meet Mayor Max: Idyllwild’s Golden Heart of Gold 🏔️🐾 Ever thought a Golden Retriever could run a town? Welcome to Idyllwild, where Mayor Max the Third, a very fun-loving puppy, is redefining politics with paws and purpose. I'm excited to share this heartwarming story from the tranquil San Jacinto Mountains, a peaceful escape from the city's hustle where a unique kind of leadership thrives. Mayor Max and his adorable co-mayors, including his sister, Vice Mayor Meadow, are not just town mascots; they are a testament to the power of nonpartisan, loving leadership. Their approval ratings? Sky-high, thanks to their dedication to community and charity, attending hundreds of events and even officiating weddings! What truly sets Max apart isn’t just his furry charm or his impressive wardrobe of colorful ties and custom harnesses—it’s his mission to spread love and kindness. With over 180,000 followers on social media, his message resonates well beyond the mountainous borders of Idyllwild. This story isn't just about a dog who is a mayor; it’s a reminder that leadership can come in the most unexpected forms and that sometimes, the best way to lead is simply by caring genuinely for others. How often do we underestimate the power of kindness and a non-judgmental approach in our lives and careers? As Max’s owner and "Chief of Staff" Phyllis Mueller puts it, their goal is to "do as many good deeds for others as we can possibly do in a day." Imagine the change we could make in our communities if we all took a page out of Mayor Max’s book. Join me in exploring this delightful story that’s sure to bring a smile and maybe even inspire your next leadership move. Here’s to leading with heart, wherever you are! #Leadership #CommunityImpact #MayorMax #Idyllwild #InspirationalStories #SpreadLove

If you ever look at the tags on our social media posts and wonder, "Who are they?" we'll tell you now. They're our partners, and we couldn't do what we do without them. There's a lot to running an organization like ours and while we greatly appreciate when people give us money, we also benefit from the guidance and steering that these groups give us. As a group barely a year old, we soak up all the tips and lessons that our partners can give us. It's also a sign of how things should be in the nonprofit world. We need to help each other. There is competition for resources, yes, but there's also plenty of opportunity for collaboration and referrals. A volunteer who may be unsuited for one agency could thrive in a different one. For example, someone who signed up to help at an animal shelter may find out the hard way that pet dander is not their friend. But walking dogs for a group like Elderdog is right up their alley. Our mission at Volunteer Peterborough is simple; we strive to match volunteers to the ideal organization, and make the recruitment process easier. Our partner agencies make that happen. Stop by our Partners page and see the full group of people that help us do what we do. And we love them for it. https://buff.ly/3JFesd7 #FanFriday #NonProfitLife #ValuableAssets #Partners #CommunityBuilding #Besties

Making an impact and leaving a lasting legacy often involves taking deliberate steps. When you look back at people's lives and the intentionality that was evident you can see these steps: Identify Your Passion: Find what excites you—whether it’s women’s equality, criminal justice reform, education, or any other cause. Intrinsic motivation drives impactful actions. Take Initiative: Don’t wait for others to act. If you see a problem, fix it. Former venture capitalist Chris Sacca wisely said, “Ideas are cheap; execution is everything.” Rethink Risk: Inaction can be riskier than action. When you focus on making a difference in others’ lives, you create opportunities for leadership and personal growth. Prioritize Respect Over Likability: Leaders make decisions based on what’s right, not just what’s popular. Eleanor Roosevelt’s advice holds true: “Do what you feel in your heart to be right – for you’ll be criticized anyway” Remember, even small actions can have a ripple effect, contributing to a better world. 🌟🌱.

🌹 Honoring Harold Mitchell AC: A Remarkable Life Remembered 🌹 📅 On Monday, May 13th, I attended the State Memorial Service that was held at Hamer Hall in Melbourne to celebrate the life of Harold Mitchell AC, a true pioneer, visionary, and philanthropist. The event coincided with what would have been his 82nd birthday. 🎙️ Distinguished speakers included current & former Premiers of Victoria, Jacinta Allan and Steve Bracks AC , who shared heartfelt reflections on Harold’s enduring impact. They highlighted his role in shaping Victoria, Timor-Leste and championing philanthropy. 📝 Nick Swifte and Allen Scash did an amazing tribute to Harold’s legacy, reminiscing about life on York Street with Mitchell’s media group. Their anecdotes painted a vivid picture of Harold’s passion and dedication to his people. 🔍 Stuart Mitchell , Harold’s close family member, provided intimate insights into his personal life. His words resonated with everyone present, emphasizing Harold’s commitment to family, community, and progress. 🌿 Finally, Haydn Sale spoke about Harold’s involvement in the Kimberley region and the cattle industry. With over 3 million acres under management, Harold’s impact extended far beyond the boardroom. 🙏 Let us remember Harold Mitchell AC as a man who truly embodied the essence of “Living Large.” His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. 🌟 #HaroldMitchell #Philanthropy #Legacy #MediaIndustry #CommunityImpact
