Lunch & Learns at the Wisconsin School of Business MSBA program are designed to connect students with industry leaders who share insights on emerging trends, critical skills, and strategies to stand out in the evolving analytics field. This semester, we had the privilege of hosting Chun Schiros, PhD, Chief Analytics Officer for Associated Bank. Recognized as a 2024 "Global Top 100 Innovators in Data and Analytics,” Dr. Schiros inspired students with her remarkable career journey. Two years of effort by our faculty, staff, and with support from the university paid off with the approval of our BBA in Business Analytics. Students will learn cutting-edge analytics skills using industry standard tools such as Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Hadoop and Spark. Curriculum covers statistics, data visualization, data mining, machine learning, big data analytics, and more. Students will learn how to make actionable business decisions that are data-driven. ✌️

Students who are in our MBLI program get excited to dive into MBLI 605 (Action Research Methods). 🚀 Many think it’s a statistics course, but it’s so much more. This course is all about critical thinking and problem-solving. Through cohort teams, we’ll tackle real-world challenges within organizations, enhancing our skills in research design, data collection, analysis, and reporting. By the end, we’ll be equipped to initiate and execute impactful action research projects rooted in evidence. Key competencies we’ll master: Designing field research projects within real organizational settings. Conducting qualitative and quantitative field research. Analyzing field data rigorously.
