Spreading dollars. Getting back change. Mecklenburg County's American Rescue Plan Act funds are helping 75 local organizations transform our community. Every cent multiplies, reaching and helping many neighbors. From streets to neighborhoods and homes. That's #TheMeckEffect. Together they're tackling important issues like: - Affordable Housing and Homelessness; - Behavioral Health and Health Equity; - Childcare and Early Childcare Development; - Parks, Environment and Infrastructure; - Workforce and Economic Development. Some of these organizations include Pineville Neighbors Place, which has helped over 190 households with rental support (averaging about $1,100 per household). Additionally, The Summer Camp Fund provides summer camp scholarships to low-income children and so far have helped more than 1,100 kids! Follow the impact at TheMeckEffect.MeckNC.gov
