A new report by the NECPC, released today, calls for regional leaders to take a ‘public health approach’ to tackling child poverty. 50 years after the Henderson Poverty Inquiry, we still lack an agreed national definition of poverty and a consistent way to measure and track it. We are proud to be a part of a new collaboration with researchers from the University of Melbourne to change that. This project aims to provide a clearer picture of poverty in Australia, helping to inform better policies and programs.
