Working at Starfish has been uniquely rewarding for me due to several reasons. Foremost, the flexibility in work hours and location allows me to manage my life more freely, balanced and effective. I can work in environments where I'm most productive. This flexibility comes hand in hand with the support and collaboration of smart, hardworking colleagues who not only motivate me to excel, but also create a nurturing environment for innovation and creativity where I can feel very good. 🤝💡 The diversity of areas and challenges that I face at Starfish keeps my daily tasks engaging and gives me the freedom I need to develop gradually. It involves, for example, the encouragement of independent problem-solving and strategic thinking within the groups. This is further supported by the flat hierarchies and the low level of hierarchical control, which enable us to find efficient and problem-oriented solutions as a team without being limited or slowed down from above. Wayfarer just turned 5 ✨ We registered the company on Oct 15, 2019 and went off to rethink hotels for next generation travelers and bridge the value gap for hotel owners. 3 months later, travel aspirations went from exploring the world to exploring your sidewalk. Today we manage over 400 units in Japan with another 300+ in our pipeline! 5 milestones for 5 years of Wayfarer: (1) My 😺, Saffron, has traveled over 60,000km on the Shinkansen. JR needs a loyalty program for him. (2) 23 new white hairs that definitely weren’t there when this all started. (3) 105,000+ lines of code in our hospitality software stack. That's basically another Hobbit in word count. (4) 35 nationalities across the 100+ team members at Wayfarer. Our culture nights are 饭tastic! (5) 0 faxes sent 📠 - this was a KPI, true story. I've met a lot of inspirational peers and founders on this journey; there is one line that stuck with me: "Survive until you're relevant". I sincerely can never really say it enough. Thank you to all the Wayfarers who believed in us. Thank you to our investors who entrusted us with Wayfarer. And thank you to all the asset owners, partners and vendors who have been part of the journey. We made it to 5 and whatever comes ahead, it has been a real privilege.

Four Months, 9 Stores, and Counting! a Milestone Update. When I joined PT Canglong Invest in July, we had just 2 franchise locations. Now, four months later, we’re managing: 9 fully operational stores 🚀 1 partnership location 🤝 1 store ready to open soon 🔑 And today i just signed a new lease with renovations set to begin! 🛠️ This rapid growth has been both exciting and a huge learning experience, reminding me that the more I work, the more I need to learn: Macro Management: Overseeing multiple locations is challenging yet incredibly rewarding. Communication & Relationship-Building: Essential for connecting across teams and sectors. Development, Negotiation, & Marketing: Each step forward builds these skills further. Multi-Store Storage & Patience: Managing inventory across stores has taught me the importance of logistics, patience, and strong communication. I’m grateful for my team and GM, whose support has made these milestones possible.
