⚡ Battery electric commercial vehicles use regenerative braking as endurance braking to comply with regulation requirements of UNECE R13 Type II A. To prevent overcharging events, OEMs either use a heavy hardware braking resistor or incorporate a larger battery where the capacity cannot be fully utilized. 🔋 🌐 ZF developed Software Brake Resistor (SBR), a cloud-enhanced software that aims to address this situation.
