So proud! Not for profit social enterprise Works4U, an employee volunteering specialist, is now 15 years old. As a volunteer I co-wrote the original business plan in 2009 never thinking I would be running the organisation a few years later. We started delivering in some of West London, which became all of West London, which then became all of London and in the last year we have stepped up to lead employee volunteering in the UK. As well as supporting thousands of employees to volunteer in impactful community projects other great achievements include: - representing UK at United Nations to lead & facilitate discussions on how employee volunteering can contribute to SDGs - producing ground-breaking national research on employee volunteering and on monetary value of volunteering - setting up and running the first ever national employer supported volunteering (ESV) network - winning awards from Best Hammersmith Business to Best UK Business Support Volunteering Non-profit Organsation - right now we are leading on the collaborative process to produce a London Vision & Action Plan for Volunteering None of this could have happened without so many hard-working and committed people, staff, volunteers and hugely supportive trustees who have helped us develop. As part of ongoing onboarding new talent into Community Association Management over the past days, one of the session we were exploring as team was "The Power of Allyship in Community Association Management." thought this will be beneficial in building harmonious community. Allyship is crucial for fostering inclusivity and support, creating a harmonious environment for all residents. Key benefits of allyship: - Enhanced community engagement drives active resident participation in events and initiatives. - Diverse perspectives lead to creative solutions for community challenges. - Increased trust and community bonds are strengthened. - Positive reputation attracts new residents and businesses to inclusive communities.
