🤎 Black Farmer Fund (“BFF”) is on a mission to nurture Black community wealth & health by investing in black food and farm businesses in the Northeast. This is a relatively simple concept - raise money and make it accessible to business owners that have historically had little or no ability to get loans or investments to build their businesses. But when you break it down, BFF has a radical approach to deep structural issues within our banking and food industries. BFF is structured to support Black farmers, food business owners, and land stewards by helping them benefit equitably from financing, intellectual capital, technical assistance, and social capital. 🤎 I have had the honor of serving Black Farmer Fund as CFO for two years as BFF moved through it’s startup period. Stop Reservations.... In 1990's we had opposed implementation of Mandal Commission Report. The time has come to raise the subject again. We need to provide all facility to the downtrodden to help them study and score well but end Reservations, TODAY Make MERIT the only criteria. Schoolblazer is a pure online retailer of school wear to private schools in the UK. Over its 20 year life it has achieved 30% market share within this segment. It has an 88% tender win rate and a 1% customer churn rate with schools typically signing exclusive 3-5 year contracts. Schoolblazer is forecasted to do circa $50M of revenue and $8M of EBITDA in FY24. Parents are purchasing new uniforms on an annual basis (sometimes every few weeks to replace lost clothing) resulting in somewhat predictable, constant demand (defensive revenues and earnings) and minimal requirements to keep up with the latest trends so lower operating costs as uniforms rarely change styles. Finally the opportunity to disrupt the on-school uniform shop with e-commerce is significant!
