My script analysis class concluded with an exciting opportunity to design my first dark ride attraction, based on the 1994 film "Interview with the Vampire." This boat attraction immerses audiences into the secluded swamps of South New Orleans in 1791. The film incorporates strong elements related to the afterlife; therefore, integrating graveyards, tombstones, and coffins into the design is essential to reflect the film's imagery. As designers, I often confronted by a challenge between imitating what the script describes and being creative at the same time. While it is essential to fulfil the playwright's vision, being creative is equally important in bringing that vision to life. In my design renders, for instance, I pushed the boundaries by exaggerating the twists of the trees and enhancing the hues to add depth and a sense of realism. I believe the design can be further enriched by incorporating additional elements that closely align with the script. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the visual development of this project and discovered an unexpected passion for environmental design. #environmentdesign #Themeparks #Attraction
