🌍Stay Ahead of new EU Regulations on ESG affecting Real Estate Firms. Stay ahead of the curve! Being informed about government regulations is crucial for business in any field. Within the next three years, EU regulations will reshape the landscape for #realestate firms, particularly with the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Are you ready? CSRD will mandate reporting standards for firms in at least several criteria: ➡️ €50M in net turnover ➡️ €25M in total assets ➡️ 250+ employees   While currently targeting larger companies, CSRD will extend its reach to smaller businesses by 2025. They will need to gather more robust data for their activities and value chain. But it doesn't stop there. The European Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) is getting an update too. By 2027, new buildings must undergo mandatory lifecycle assessments (LCAs) as part of the Energy Performance Certificate and aim for zero emissions by 2030. Further updates are set to impact EU Taxonomy for #sustainable activities. The introduction of the new Emissions Trading Scheme will also increase operating costs for existing buildings reliant on fossil fuels from 2027. This may lead to rising prices of building materials like concrete and steel, contributing to higher carbon prices. 💡 How can you adapt? Start preparing now!
