There are common signs that can indicate if someone is struggling with their trauma. These signs may show up in physical, emotional, or behavioral ways. 🌿Trauma can cause the body to feel tired, tense, or in pain. 🌿Often trauma brings up strong emotions like fear, anger, or sadness. 🌿People dealing with trauma may avoid certain places, people, or activities that remind them of the event. Even if the trauma happened a long time ago, its effects can linger and impact your quality of life. The good news is that trauma therapy can help you work through these feelings, learn coping strategies, and rebuild a sense of safety and connection. #CatalyssCounseling #trauma #rediscoveryourjoy #therapyoptions #coloradocounseling #mentalhealthsupport

Trauma bond…🤔 What is trauma bond? Trauma bonding occurs when a person experiencing abuse develops an unhealthy attachment to their abuser. They may rationalize or defend the abusive actions, feel a sense of loyalty, isolate from others, and hope that the abuser's behavior will change. The 7 stages of the trauma bonding cycle include - love bombing, - trust and dependency, - criticism, - gaslighting, - emotional addiction, - loss of self, - resignation and submission. Why does a trauma bond feel so good? One of the key mechanisms behind trauma bonding is the release of dopamine and oxytocin in the brain. These chemicals are associated with pleasure, reward, and emotional attachment, and can create a powerful sense of bonding between the victim and abuser. How do you break a trauma bond? Outside of getting professional support, here are some steps you can take on your own to break free from a trauma bonded relationship: - Educate Yourself. ... - Focus on the Here and Now. ... - Create Some Space. ... - Find Support. ... - Practice Good Self-Care. ... - Make Future Plans. ... - Develop Healthy Relationships. ... - Give Yourself Permission to Heal. What are your thoughts on this? 🤔 #traumabond #healing #selfleadership #justintimeconsult.se Picture cred to Bonshea making light of the dark 📸

Are You Always Saying Yes? A common trait among many clients suffering from trauma is people-pleasing. People-pleasing isn’t just a “nice” personality trait—it’s often a survival mechanism learned through trauma. Here’s how it works: When we experience trauma, whether in childhood or adulthood, our nervous system tries to protect us. For many, this shows up as fawning, avoiding conflict, prioritising others’ needs, and keeping the peace at all costs. Childhood Trauma: Growing up with criticism, neglect, or instability teaches us to seek approval to feel safe. Adult Trauma: Experiences like toxic relationships, workplace bullying, or abusive partners reinforce the belief that putting others first will prevent harm. But here’s the truth: People-pleasing comes at a cost. It can leave you feeling invisible, resentful, and burned out, as your own needs are pushed aside. What Can You Do? - Recognise when you’re saying yes out of fear rather than genuine desire. - Practice setting small boundaries—it’s OK to say no. - Seek support. Hypnotherapy and other tools can help you heal the patterns and rebuild confidence. You are more than your trauma, and you don’t need to earn your worth by pleasing others. #PeoplePleasing #TraumaRecovery #SetBoundaries #HealingJourney #MentalHealthMatters #mindhealthhypnotherapy #HypnotherapyFacts #Hypnotherapy
