But, which role do you hire? 1️⃣ Hire someone for tasks you 𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 know so you can: - Delegate more tasks - Increase your throughput rate - Focus on higher-value activities Think junior roles like Growth or Operation Associate or generalist roles like Chief of Staff or Operations Team Lead. 2️⃣ Hire someone for tasks you 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 so you can: - Solve a critical bottleneck - Increase task specialization - Unleash creativity and growth Think functional roles such as Social Media Manager, Software Engineer, or Accounting Lead. Details about the position, qualifications, & how to apply are listed below: WHAT YOU'LL DO: ✦ Generate proprietary investment deal flow by conducting thematic sector research, attending industry events, and networking with entrepreneurs and investors. ✦ Manage deal flow and pipeline infrastructure tools (Affinity, LinkedIn, etc.) ✦ Support due diligence processes through conversations with experts, market research, and creation of financial models to establish investment recommendations. ✦ Create investment memos and presentations for the investment committee. ✦ Identify emerging trends and potential areas for investments, leveraging market insights and analytical skills. ✦ Oversee organization of founder and investor communications and meetings. ✦ Track data and key metrics from portfolio companies. ✦ Measure and track our value add to portfolio companies such as customer introductions, partnership enablement, upstream capital support, etc. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (not required): ✦ 1-2 years of experience in investment banking or similar relevant foundational work experience. ✦ 1-2 years of experience in VC or PE with experience sourcing deals and a pre-existing network of founders/investors, or domain experience working for technology companies in corporate development and/or finance. ✦ Strong quantitative analysis skills with the ability to distill key insights from financial models and large datasets. ✦ Thrives in a startup-like environment working with a small team and finding ways to add value to the organization. ✦ Excellent communication skills with ability to connect with people of all organizational levels from analysts to c-level executives, and customers to investors. ✦ Familiarity with programming languages a plus (e.g., Python, SQL) and data analysis tools strongly preferred (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
